I need some tips on promoting a JV giveaway

Before I begin, I AM NOT SOLICITING for JV partners. What I would like is any tips, info, marketing methods, etc. to make my first one as successful as possible. Any info would help. Any potential recommendations as to where to go would also be appreciated. My budget is limited at this time.
As it is, nothing is set up yet as I am still working out the details. I am asking this in advance of it being set up.
