I notice you don't have a contact page and you don't have an email opt in form. Also great article about mice. I myself am typing this on a Razer Lycosa and clicking with a Razer copperhead. I love both of them. You get what you pay for when you buy computer peripherals and I could never go back to using anything else after buying these two.

I think the contrast between the background and the text is a little hard to read. Of course, I'm a little older....

I'd have to agree with this - You should make it easier to read.

As it is, I don't actually feel like reading it because of this factor.

Plus, it might be better if you restrict the adsense to individual posts rather than on the home page.

With so little content, especially, it comes across as just an adsense site, to me anyway.

Does the last link on the page (Hair Loss Treatment) really help you out in any way? I would think it would hurt the blog.

Other then that, my first impression was it was very blue. I would add some white in the page (maybe your text background) to compliment the blue.

Hairloss treatment? I can't find that.
Edit: Found it. That must have been on there from the website I download it from. Good eyes thanks

There seems to be an issue with what I'm assuming is some sort of css div overlay or alignment. Check out the file attatched to this post to see what I'm seeing over here.

Other than the contact info and opt-in features, I don't see anything glaringly missing. The color scheme is nice. Just time to fill it up with some A+ content.

    Hi Matt,

You may want to consider using Carl Ocab's Ultimate Blogging Theme - When Form Overtakes Content. This is a really awesome blog theme, which is optimized for SEO purposes, has ad spots, etc.

Overall, pretty sharp- but I agree about the contrast of the fonts. I'm never a fan of light text on dark backgrounds.

The only other thing- the banner image is fairly underwhelming. At first glance, I thought it was a prison walkway... then I realized it was a server room. But mostly.. it's an image of the floor.

    Lots of potential...

    Matt,

Well done on your blog launch!

Personally I found the colouring of the text/ackground slightly difficult to read. I had to move closer to the screen to read it.

Secondly as I am a bit of as list builder I wondered why there was no opt in box. I saw the link to the left side but personally I would put an obvious small opt in box there.

I reckon you are still working on this so this is no criticism.

Thanks for the opportunity to look at your blog.

wishing you all the very best.

    Keep up the good work

I find it hard to believe you would ever get any clicks from your ads with those colors. People wont click if they instinctively know it's an add. I would blend, blend, blend. No borders either! You can use the title color as your link color your using on your site or you can do better by making it slightly brighter than the rest of the links on your site.

I also suggest using boxes over the mini banners, they seem to be working a lot better for me.

    Matt,

For me the Lucida family of fonts are a bit difficult to read. If you were to refrain from declaring any font-family in the CSS, or at least for the body of your posts and single pages, then your font would default to whatever the reader has selected with their browser. This would allow even us old guy's to read your content with ease.

    Thanks,
    Gene

Well its a TV. But since building an HTPC. Its used as a computer 90% of the time. 1080p shows text veryy well. And windows7 has some setting just for your TV. I have no trouble at all reading the text.

i really like the lay out, and the theme that you used. very easy to read -which i think is how review sites should be. I hope in the future you dont saturate it with blinking ads here and there,
