IM niche vs health and fitness niche

I always heard and know health and fitness niche is very very competitive.
BUT isn't same for IM niche.

if you check around a lot IM , like how to gain traffic , seo , marketing , and most popular are
earn money working from home etc.

I see IM niche also very very competitive as there are lots of programs and marketing needs

so why some folk say IM niche still less competitive than health and fitness?

    IM and Health are markets, not niches. You're not going to make a dent if you attack a market.

    A niche in the IM market would be email marketing. A niche in the health market would be weight loss for new moms.

    They're both huge markets with many (Hundreds) of niches. And perhaps hundreds of sub-niches as well.

    The problem with health and fitness markets is that there is a lot of spam around. The profits are bigger but you won't be able to post signatures or posts on forums to promote your website. Due to the huge amount of spam, most webmasters are blocking everything. Squido also blocked health related articles. There is spam everywhere in health related niches.

    But, if you can come with a good product and have a big marketing budget you might get the benefits. If you go into health market you will have to spend a lot of money to get traffic. For example, you have to get used to pay few dollars for every click in adwords to buy traffic. In IM market you can get traffic from adwords for as low as 0.10 cents a click. I am talking about US traffic here.

      for me I prefer to use Facebook well maybe up to individual as some don't prefer.

    Gee, I'm beginning to think that starting an IM business based on niches would be a good idea, because that's where I see most people hung up at.

    Actually, that's been overdone. How about:

    A niche for products related to alien abductees?
    An niche for marketing to single parent - home schoolers?
    An niche for people that like to watercolor paint on cards?
    An niche for marketing to head chefs at 5 star resturants?
    An niche for for people that are terrified of gluten?

    You gotta get real specific and find out if there is an active demand. You can get a lot of ideas by reading. There are a ton of free ebooks on the Internet if you use Google and type in: "free niche ebook"

      Plus, there's no industry I can think of where so many experienced business owners are willing to help so many new business owners get started. Or so many willing to share Free advice and help to other marketers(who could possibly be their competition) the way Internet Marketers do.

      When you look at it that way, it's kind of amazing to be honest. Who else does that to the extent Internet Marketers do?
