Is there a way other than archive.org to find out if a domain name has been previously used by another registrant?

    I think you can have a look and try to use domaintools.com. As far as I know they have some paid services which allow you to find out who was the previous owner and for how long. That is so called whois history. Other question for you is: why do you need that? In my opinion you need to care of domain name history in terms of SEO (if domain name was ever banned or blacklisted) rather then learning about previous owner.

      Knowing the previous owner is actually useful because they might lead you to other related domains they controlled.

      This can be beneficial if building themed PBNs.
