Can you use Affiliate Links in Hubpages

Hi all,

I'm thinking of putting together a series of pages which would give an in-depth review of Clickbank products. Obviously I want to include the Affiliate Link in the review and maybe earn some commission.

I'm thinking of Hubpages as a possible source for this, but do they allow affiliate links?

If not could you suggest another similar source that doesn't involve setting up a Blog or Website.

All the best,
Koolsteve

Hey Koolsteve, HubPages doesn't allow direct linking to affiliate offers, sorry.

On the other hand, it only costs about $11 a year to own a domain from namecheap.com, and you can get hosting with HostGator, BlueHost, etc. for less than $10 month.

Heck, Weebly is another option you can use starting out (the only thing I really dislike is that they don't run on the Wordpress interface).

As an online entrepreneur, you need to accept that you have to invest in your own site (or at least a simple squeeze page so you can start building a list with an email service provider).

That's my advice to you, invest in a website at the very least so you can link to it from HubPages or most other sites like that.

If you REALLY can't invest in anything because your dog ate your credit card, then you can do direct linking from YouTube videos.

A word of caution about YouTube though, be very wary of product review videos as other marketers like to flag channels that promote products like that.

Instead of doing product reviews, I suggest you create content to help your audience instead and simply give a strong call to action where you recommend a resource in the video description (your affiliate link) that can help them out further.

For example, if you want to promote a blogging product then you should create content around common blogging questions to draw in your target audience.

This strategy will also work on HubPages; in fact HubPages may not even ALLOW product reviews to begin with, so this would be better.

I know this probably isn't the answer you were hoping for but it's what I would do if I were in your shoes.

    Regards,
    Daniel

"Learning is earning" as they say.

My opinion is you should embrace the learning curve and get your own domain and hosting account. There are rewards for accomplishing the basics. Besides, a commitment to your craft is the only way to guarantee success.
