Making Apps with no coding experience

I know next to nothing about building apps but have come across like a dozen websites where you can build apps really easily with no coding.

I really have not looked closely into them but is this the way to go if you want to make money from apps and don't know coding?

Can you actually make the apps on those websites like https://www.appmakr.com/
just to name one and then put it on the apple store?

Some of the sites have small monthly fees once you build the apps and maybe higher if you put it on a marketplace, I am not sure.

Can someone who knows about this please give some insight. Thanks.

    The last time I looked at them, the app is really just a mobile web site that is in the form of an app that someone would need to download for it to work. Basically you would need to find a small business to sell the idea to and then build the app for them. Probably the worst money a small business could spend money on for mobile marketing, as I will guess the ROI is going to be horrible for most. But maybe things have changed?

      I would agree with you on that one. It's probably just a mobile website that's meant to look like an app. Unless you plan on using it as a tool for some business (which I'm sure will never happen), it's not going to be worth the investment.

    Is it possible to build apps good enough to make any money with the DIY websites?

    As far as the business apps I have been seeing a lot of stuff like sell a local business on making a business app for them and you either give it to them free and they pay you $100/mo or pay you $500 up front then $50 a month and you make residual money.

    I don't know if that would actually work or not but I would like to find out. lol
    And also if you could make apps decent enough to put in apple store then you could even make free and have ads and affiliate link and still make good money.

    DOn`t build apps if you have no coding experience, IF you want to add payment gateways to them. It`s always a good idea to have your app coded by a professional that can fix any bugs and can make sure everything works fine, especially when you count your income on it.

      Call me crazy... But why don't you do something you actually know something about and are good at?

      I mean, heck, I'd love to make money dunking basketballs over Lebron James, but let's face it, that's never gonna happen. And while your dream of making money with apps without knowing programming is a little more realistic, it's still pretty far fetched.

      One the things I see constantly on the WF -- and one of the reasons I think so many people here fail -- are would be entrepreneurs who are first and foremost focused on themselves. They say things like, "I want to make $X,000..." or "I want to work 4 hours a day" or "I want to spend just $500" or "I want to make money selling apps." Instead they should be thinking about what their customers want and how they can use their own unique talents, skills and interests to become the best business to provide it to them.

      So, admittedly I haven't looked into the app creation tools that you mentioned. And admittedly, I'm a little biased since my background is in in software development. But I very, very much doubt that any app creation tool is going to create top quality apps. And despite what you may want, customers aren't going to respond very well to a mediocre product, whether it's an app, a website, a book or anything else. Not when the internet is chock full of top quality apps -- often free -- custom coded by top quality developers. Sorry but I just don't see it.

      Regardless, I don't see what the appeal of apps is for you since you don't really know anything about them. So again, why not do something you actually know something about and are good at? My guess is you'll have a lot more success that way.

    I try lots of different things, If I get interested in it then I get lots of ebooks, courses, website info and try to learn all I can. At some point I might say, this is too much bs and not worth it, or this is too much work or whatever and then I am done and on to something else.

    But occasionally you find something that works and can make good money at. So I am at the beginning stages of curiosity about this, I have previously started to get interested but kept seeing that you had to have a mac and had to learn to code and I had neither. But now seeing some small courses talk about these DIY apps. I am looking into it.

    Like someone said before: Instead of creating some bad apps with any bad appmaker or what the names of those funny systems are, I would recommend you to learn programming an application by yourself!

    Look, the time you are investing now into this thread + the time you have invested already for research in the web, you could (if you are a normal Joe...) have setup your API like (Android Studio for Android) => Build your first Application which produces some text, etc. => learn how to edit the source code => learn how to upload the app into playstore => ...

    If you really want to make a app, do yourself the favor and learn programming. There are SO MANY good things (fixing bugs, adding new versions, changing design, intetgrate eMail option, etc.) - compared to an Appmaker or other funny systems...

        It really depends on what kind of apps you are interested in producing. I have gone both routes due to the fact that I am a developer. I have done several apps from scratch using Eclipse (now Android Studio) to using a middle ground like PhoneGap to using app building sites. For higher end apps that require custom programming, access to a database or accessing a private network, then you would need to develop from scratch or use something like PhoneGap.

        That being said, I have published over 100 apps using providers such as Seattle Clouds and BiznessApps. They can both produce quality apps, just not a bunch of custom functionality. The two providers just mentioned have published over 1,000,000 apps into the Apple and Google Play stores. So, there are plenty of apps being published using online providers. I can build apps in 3-4 hours or less with both tools. In fact, I often spend more time finding good images for the icons, splashscreen and backgrounds then I do building the apps themselves. Even though both advertise no coding experience required, a basic or better understanding of HTML and/or CSS is definitely a benefit.

        The benefit of both SC and BA, is that you can publish to both Android and Apple without have to jump through as many hoops. No Mac required for either one to publish to iTunes.

        You need to figure out how you plan to make money, how much competition is already in the stores and how you plan to promote and get downloads before choosing the best path.

    I found this app cost calculator. If these are real figures on coding and building app yourself, then I just lost interest in that. lol

      I don't know if those figures are real or not but I will say that you can find an app similar to your idea and see if the source code is available for purchase...Sometimes it will be a fraction of the price of developing a app from scratch and other times you will think you asked them for their souls haha.

      Look into open source code and coding forums for the features you want to add to your app. If you dive right in you can have a decent working app in a few weeks....well let's say 2-3 months to be on the safe side. Got to troubleshoot errors/bugs and make it your own after all!

      You can definately make money without coding knowledge as many people successfully do. If you're a newbie you woul better start with a free course like this one

      Thus you will get knowledge how to create your app, how to come up with an idea of your app and what is more important How to monetize it.

    Simple answer: No. Its not possible without a GOOD coding skills.

    Any platforms that say YES are trying to make money from people who aren't that tech-savvy. And remember, its takes more than half a decade to be a great coder; NOT LESS.

    Depends again on what kind of apps u wanna create.
    If you wanna put payment gateway or create a proper app with a lot of functionality, u will need to get it custom created.
    If U wanna create simple content based apps which have google admob as earning source, u can use these HTML app builders.
    For a client, I will never use anything like html5 app builders since clients need a lot of functionality which these html5 app builders cannot provide.
    Again, totally depends on what exactly u wanna create.
