What to do when you have ideas?

What would you do if you have a major Internet Marketing idea, but there's absolutely no way you can make the idea come to life?

I know the idea I have is pretty clever (I am humble I swear!) and I don't know what to do with it. There's really no way I can do this.. it's just above my realm of possibility. But I don't want the idea to go to waste either. I just don't know what to do with it and I'm hoping you Warriors can help me out, give me a new perspective maybe?

I've been a voyeur on Warrior Forum for many months and just now got the courage to register and start posting. Glad to be here!

Find someone looking to get into the market and touch on the subject to see if they are interested in purchasing your idea from you. I don't know how it works but I know some people sell their thoughts easily!

I have these ideas all the time.. I write them down, and put them in a folder... I periodically review them , and get feedback, quotes and other inputs to see what it would cost, and if i can get a designer to help me for a large percentage of profits...

There are many designers that are willing to work for 50% of profits when it comes in, if the idea is strong....

Otherwise, piece it together until you have at least a shell for what you need it to do, and hire someone to come in a finish the job...

You didn't say if you had funds for this or not, but assuming that you have all the funds to develop it, then go to elance.com, guru.com or rentacoder.com and get some bids on what it would take to complete the project - warning though: make sure that your project is detailed enough that a programmer/developer/designer can make a fair guess at price.. otherwise, it will cost you 5 times more than you anticipated.

    Good luck with your ideas.

When you say there is no way for you to make your project come to life...are you basically talking in financial terms...i.e. you dont have the money to get
it started....or is the project so immense that you just dont see how it could
    get off the ground?

The project is so immense that I know I couldn't launch it. I know it would require someone who's in the niche that could pull it off.

Is it ethical to sell an idea? It's not like I can go on Ebay and say "Big Business Idea. Wanna Buy It?"

I have other irons in the fire and I just know some of these things that are in my head won't see the light of day if it's left up to me.

Ideas are a dime a dozen. Money is made by your ability to implement them effectively. Focus your time on business propositions that you (and your team if you have one) can bring to market. As you gain experience and funds you'll be able to expand your horizons into bigger and bigger ideas but if you start with the grandslam play you're more than likely to be overwhelmed.

I recommend starting with this post http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...lan-fails.html (by some guy named Ken ) He explains my point of view far more eloquently than I ever could.

It's important to get your ideas out because you don't know if it will be a hit until you get it out. And guess what? It might be a flop. So it's important just to get as many ideas out so you can see which ones actually stick and make you money!

Definitely write down your idea. Everyone should have short term goals and long term goals. This might be something that you start to work on over several months or even years. Just don't forget to work on short term projects at the same time. Don't waste all your energy focusing on one big thing. I would also share it with a few selective people who could possibly help facilitate things with or for you. Good luck with it

1 - Write it ALL down
2 - Save in both in PC and Print
3 - Move on with life
4 - One time will come you will need that idea

    True story:

In 2004, when i started IM in Portugal, there were lots of niches available. I had almost one hundred handwriten pages with niches, keywords, competition, available domains, etc etc

One year later my income was good and decided i didn't need all that trash and send it to trash can.

    Such a stupid idea.

Nowadays i keep every piece of paper i write, every idea i have.

Ideas are good. It's gives us an insight on what is possible..The seed of greatness is in the idea..but most of the time there's a big difference in what we thought will happen to what can actually happen..

My suggestion is to scale down your idea and try it on a level that you are capable to implement..If it works then maybe you have a "HOT" one..

    But before then..you'll never know..

    Best wishes
