My First amazon associates sale! Yay me

Hi everyone kinda excited I made my first sale thru amazon associates program, it was like a $20 sale which is nothing but just excited I guess.

I made a fitness site, set it up to add automated articles and videos each day, and imported amazon products using plugin, next did basic seo gigs on fiverr.

I only have a couple weeks with it and just working on it when I have time so was expecting it could take a few months for the seo to fully kick in.

anyways its not even complete! just happy

thanks to all for your great advice

Great! I got excited when I made my first sale too. I remember it back in August 2012, someone had bought a CyberproPC and I made $34 off of it!
Keep going! You're going to learn a lot along the way. People will give you all kinds of suggestions, but the best thing is to keep testing things out on your own and see what works and what doesn't for you!

Awesome man. Next step is to figure out "WHY" you made that sale (the mechanics behind it), and repeat the process again and again. Congratulations though!

this is my sentiments exactly. The warm fuzzy feeling will only carry you so far. You did great, now retrace your steps and figure out what got you there.

Congratulations! I remember my first commission back in 2005 - I was just starting to branch out from Adsense. I remember thinking, "Wow, I just sold an actual product, and it wasn't some click for Adsense!"

That got me hooked on affiliate marketing and I've never looked back. I continued to dabble in Adsense for a while, but dropped it for good in 2008 for good and started focusing on building sustainable online businesses with a mix of my own stuff and affiliate sales on occasion.

The funny and ironic thing is, that I think is was either 2010 or 2011, I get an email from Google letting me know that I had been banned from Adsense. I thought I had taken down all of the Adsense stuff and hadn't even checked my account for several years.

Awesome work firstly for taking action and secondly for the sale.

Now it is just a case of stacking and repeating,

    Awesome work!

Yay you! It's funny because I also made my first amazon sale through an automated site. I didn't do any SEO or anything and traffic was really low but it worked I got sales.

Be sure to come back and tell us all about how Google penalized your site for poor content and buying "SEO" from some idiot on Fiverr.

Why are you always so negative?

With his "automated articles and videos" and his Fiverr SEO traffic strategy, he's sure to be making tens of dollars any year now...

    Hi guys,
    I am now here.

Just wanted to find out where can I learn about the amazon associates program and who is actually the authority figure for this area in warrior forum now?

hello all thank you for your kind words of encouragement (im the op)

this is my first affiliate site and its actually more or less a testing ground for trying out different amazon & wordpress plugins, learning capabilities and limits etc. Mainly so I can learn how to do it. My personal opinion is that the key to a good affiliate site is a creative and unique front end design.

Im still playing with other plugins as well since theres so many things out there trying to learn what I feel comfortable with.

My plan would hopefully by this time next year or even in 6 months have at least a good 5 solid niche specific and uniquely designed affiliate sites with a combination of my own products. If I could pull in at least a few hundred dollars of passive income a month from this I would be happy.

Additionally, learning the plugins and such will allow me to charge people to create sites, likely just local sales from craigslist.

As far as what someone posted, I really don't care if its $10 a year or whatever it is because like I said its more of a testing ground for me. I can say now that I made my first $1 from affiliate site that for me is a good motivator.

Hi Yslim I would recommend you check out the WSO section, theres a lot of good stuff there but like others have posted its so easy to get sidetracked so just stick to 1 thing you want to do.

Although you can learn everything for free, spending a few bucks on a WSO will save you a lot of time in learning the important things faster and down to the point without wasting time.

Welcome to the forum. If you want to learn about niche marketing using Amazon Associates this isn't the best place. Start reading relevant blogs online.

Here are a few good ones:

      NicheHacks - Niche Domination Shortcuts...
Niche Pursuits - Find Business Ideas, Niche Websites, and much more!

There are lots of others but those should give you a good start.

Congratulations! Now scale it up - rinse and repeat.

The first affiliate sale is the best - it kind of proves the concept for you. Once you know it can be done, you become more motivated to get more sales.

Congrats! I can't wait till I'm in your shoes. I'm brand new and just created a FB page with a (probably too broad) niche and spent about $15 on FB to get likes, posting relevant content, and occasionally linking a niche product through my Amazon affiliate account! Hopefully I'll be following suit soon, it must be a good feeling knowing it's possible now.

Good to hear and yes it is exciting.

But I would be real hesitant in the way you are doing this business with the hired SEO work at Fiverr.

It does not bode well in the long run if this is your complete strategy

Grats TX! That feeling of the first sale can never be forgotten...

But moving on from that, since now you know you got something good working for your site, you will wanna look through and analyze what you think worked for that sale. Duplicate that, scale it up and you'll be getting yourself a comfortable income in no time.

congrats you just took the hook pill. Now you can either continue by rinsing and repeating what you are doing until you master it or take the other route which is looking for other shiny objects which will just end up affecting you with a syndrome.
