    you are probably working with a CPA network that allows you to advertise their offers. The way the CPA network knows that somebody completed an action is by having a "pixel" fire back to their network. This provides them with information like:

    1. Somebody completed the Registration action
    2. The name of the website the referred the action
    3. Possibly the name ID if the user that completed the action in case you are running an incentive website.

    Pixels are used for tracking purpose for online traffic. There are pixel tracking codes which tracks different actions of visitors like mentioned by @johpuna.

    You just have to put pixel tracking codes on you site thank you pages or any page you want to track for your traffic. Just be careful while placing codes as wrong placement can mess up your stats.
