In simple words promoting products developed by others and get some commission on every sale.
You do not need to worry about development of products or support customers after they purchase the products. Affiliate Marketing is all about promoting others products and selling it using your affiliate links.

You find a product you want to promote
You sign up for their affiliate program
You get a special link that allows the merchant to track the people who clicked your link
If they buy the product, you get a commission.

If I were you I would have this way: First you will need to decide in which niche you will be participating. Then you need to create web site for this niche and then you will have to promote that so you have good amouunt of daily visitors. Then you will be able to place there affiliate links and earn commision.

Well Affiliate Marketing is all about relationships.

In order to build a relationship, you need to follow a proven formula.

    Formula:

    1.Create compelling freebie offer
2.Integrate freebie offer into squeeze page
    3.Integrate follow-up e-mails.
4.Repeat for each niche market you enter.

    Good luck!

If you have experience with ranking in Google then your job is half done!

Firstly, you want to find a product to promote you can do this by going to the various different networks, signing up and browsing around.

Next you want to find out how in demand that product is by using Google's FREE keyword planner.

If the product has a decent amount of searches and your SEO analysis on the front page is telling you that you can rank for that product name keyword then you want to sign up to the network.

Then purchase a domain, setup hosting install wordpress or whatever you want to use! Write articles targeting the keywords you found and do your SEO around that product name keyword!

    Hope this helps!

The first thing you have to do is to figure out which niche market you want to be in (i.e. dating, health/fitness, electronics, sports, etc.). The niche you're in will determine what types of products you promote. Since you're new, it would probably be easiest to start out in a niche that you already know about and one in which you already own some products.

Being that you have that early advantage of having experience in SEO. Your best bet in my opinion would to go ahead and make sure your value ladder is set in place, and you have a fully functioning sales funnel based around your niche. Assuming thats all completed, it's time to start getting some serious traffic to your page. I recommend several different methods. But if you're looking for instant results so you can start measuring then I recommend solo ads and ad swaps. Also set up google analytics for more in depth measuring. Hope this help!

Find a high converting product, create a squeeze page related to the topic of the product, drive traffic to the squeeze page, build an email list, promote the product to list.

Start ranking your sites with affiliate offers and in the meanwhile, just start learning paid traffic sources like bing, fb, adwords etc..

Gaurav, I hope you have read the suggestions in the previous posts.
You'll find some great advices there.
What's your next step? Just getting info won't help you. You need to decide what to do and take the necessary steps.
-Focus on your niche: Have you decided one yet?
-Find a good product or service in your niche: Done?
    -Create a lead magnet: Check?
    -Setup your autoresponder: There yet?
-Drive traffic to the lead magnet and build a list: Running?
-Promote the product or service to your list: How many followups?
-Analyze and expand your business: Ready to rock?

I've done a lot of affiliate marketing in the past.

I would recommend you pick a niche (think about a subset of the weight loss, romance, make money niches as a start: niches where people are actively looking for a solution they are willing to pay for).

From that niche focus your SEO skills on driving traffic to a squeeze page and start building your list. There are plenty of posts on this forum about how to build a list.

Once you are getting traffic and the list starts building, schedule regular email broadcasts to the list providing useful information that helps you build a relationship with them. Promote products to them regularly too, but don't make them expect every email from you is a promotion.

Once you have the first niche working, start on the next.

It's simple. Find a niche. Find an affiliate product. Get a site, get an autoresponder, make a squeeze page, drive traffic to get subscribers, promote to them via email, lead them to your affiliate link, then wait to get paid.

But it's in your best interest to find an affiliate program that can pay you recurringly each month. A one-time sale business model isn't advisable.

If you already know about your area, pick an idea and take action.

If you don't know, research and/or buy a good info product.

Figure out which niche you wanna work with based on your knowledge, interests, and ofc profitability. Create a simple squeeze page and offer some type of value in order for the prospect to change their email for your value. Build a relationship with the people who opt-in and start cashing in.
