to make a game you need a 3D Game via [ Darkbasic ] [Simple]
you need to learn a lot of books + hire a group of 3D Designers
Total Cost : not less than 10 k .

The game publishing is really difficult market with huge investments of money and time needed.
I don't think so it is good idea.

According to their 'cost estimator',

50 cards, 1 dice, one page of instructions = over $7.

Ouch.

I looked into this about 10 years ago and decided it really wasn't worth all the hassle. There are lots of hoops to jump through: copyrights, making sure your board game idea isn't remotlely similar to anyone elses', getting people to play it so you can refine it, the costs of developing the prototype, and finally pitching it to the big toy companies who have their own in house R&D departments anyway. Even back then, board games were seen as a declining market, so I'm sure it's even worse today. People (especially kids) just don't play them like they used to.

i never thought it would be that easy?!!(sarcasm).. what about the 3d designs? im sure no one wants to play stick figures, or boring lines.

It looks to me like that site would be ideal to prototype and test a board game. The prices are too high to make any money with it. Only producing them in volume would make sense then.

Boardgames are huge in Germany. That's the only place I really know that it's still a growth market.

A friend of mine made over $40k selling board games, and she was, I think 17 at that time, and did it as a project in school. Then they improved the concept, made a few deals, and she's been pretty wealthy since then.

That was NOT through that site though, and she didn't have to do any design herself.
It was a great market for the game though. It was about getting the drivers license, and that's pretty hard here in Norway.
