Why do you need so many affiliate links on one webpage? By nature all you're really doing is confusing your reader with your suggestions. So they wind up visiting those affiliate links, and 10 minutes later... they're on somebody else's site with just 1 recommendation (and a great reason why), and buying from THEIR affiliate link.

More importantly... how will you make money from customers you make after each 1-time affiliate sale? I have *confidence* that the affiliate provider will not give you access to the customer information.

I rarely use more than two, mostly because I can't think of a reason to have more than two affiliate links on a page.

1 or 2 links is enough, focus on making them WANT to click your link, and instead of sending them straight to an affiliate offer, capture the lead first (listbuilding) or you might or might not make a sale, but you will lose a customer for ever! capture the lead and they can remain your customer, whether or not they buy the first time.

on average a person online needs to be shown an offer 5 to 7 times before acting on it

    good luck!

It's probably not a good idea to add too many affiliate links to your page. I think it would defeat the purpose.

If you need to ask, I'd be worried you are already overdoing it
To me the idea is to first show value and the monetization comes secondary and flows with the content

Hello and welcome to the forum. The answer to your question really depends on the length of the article or whatever. For around a 400-word article, I'd use like three affiliate links, but one of those would be a pic at the top of the page. One would be at the end of the article, and I'd put one towards the center. What works best for you will depend on the page layout and how you write and stuff.

Google doesn't like affiliate links at all, period. Check out Brian Kindsvater, he has a couple of great options to hide your links from Google and it's not cloaking.
