So I am new to the click bank game and figured the best way to learn is to jump in head first. So I found a product that had high gravity and I thought had a great landing page Venus Factor I created an account with 7search and target keywords like women weight loss, women fitness, ect. I have paid about $20 so far and drove 550 hops to my affiliate link. And so far NONE of them have purchased the program.

My question is how much more money should I invest in PPC? Since I stand to make $40 for one purchase does that mean I should be willing to spend up to $40 to get a sale?

Also, is 550 hops with no purchases normal? Is there an average number of hops to purchases you guys normally see?

Any other advice on how to use PPC to drive traffic to an affiliate link?

Make sure you're targeting women. Even direct linking, 550 hops should have given you at least 1-5 sales. You should be getting at least 1% conversions. Having 0 sales means your ads suck, you're targeting the wrong people, or your keywords suck. Consider creating your own landing page and drive traffic to the landing page first to pre-sell them. Flow should look like:

traffic source (ads)--->landing page (pre-sell)--->affiliate offer (hop)

I'd rather tell you an ugly truth than a pretty lie.

I would tend to agree. Most likely you're not targeting the right people.

Im wondering, why are you using 7search and not Bing ads.

7search is low quality traffic, so the chances of selling a Clickbank product using it is low.

Here are examples from the WF..

, You really do get what you pay for… I would suggest spending your money on Google or Bing ads, or even Facebook search over seven search

After 455 clicks no sales. Pathetic.

On a more positive note, I just ran a solo ad for 100 clicks that resulted in 1 sale and 38 opt ins (IM niche). And we all know that the fortune is in the follow up. Not bad.

It just goes to show that the quality of the traffic makes all the difference in the world. And yes, you do get what you pay for

7search is really low quality traffic. There's a reason it is cheap - it doesn't convert. Most of it is fake. Of the real traffic, most are not buyers. After a lot of testing and weeding out the worst affiliate sources, you can get lucky one in awhile and profit but even then it is not scalable or sustainable. Choose a higher quality traffic source.

Interesting, I never considered that there is good traffic sources and bad traffic sources. I went with 7search because I heard it was real cheap, and it was. I will give bing a shot and see if i have any better luck.

Unfortunately I did not have a landing page set up for those first 550 clicks, but I do have a simple one set up now Venus 6 with an auto responded following up with them using awebber. At this point, if I could even break even on my investment I would be excited.

If making money online was as simple as buying traffic and sending it straight to a clickbank offer, we would all be billionaires, i know i would :-)

    good luck!

One important step before starting any marketing program is having a goal and have a way to measure the outcome. When you accumulate data, measure the results against your goal. Whether it is positive or negative, analyze your data and determine what succeeded and what did not succeed. What can be done to improve the result to bring the campaign in line with your goals? If your goal was to buy real cheap traffic, it sounds like you succeeded. Did you analyze your clicks and determine if you got placed in front of the searches that you were expecting? Did your bid match types produce the expected results? Did you take corrective action and block undesirable sources, use negative keywords, or customize ad content to better match your keyword’s intent? 7Search has over a dozen tools at your disposal that you may use to control your campaign performance. Even if you try other networks, plan out a strategy and measure your results. Analyze the data you just bought and determine if there are ways to improve. If you don’t know, ask for help from their support staff before you blow through your whole budget. Good Luck.

Avoid 7Search; the quality is notoriously bad. If you're intent on PPC, get your feet wet with Bing Ads.

If I were you, I'd also look into these:

    1. Youtube.
    2. Facebook.
    3. Pinterest.

Since this is where the majority of their social traffic is coming from:

Venusfactor.com Analytics - See Traffic Ranking & Stats

You could also get your feet wet with display advertising. You'll need around $1,000, but if you're keen to get started on a low budget, consider buying description space under relevant Youtube videos.

    Cheers - Tom

/Search dosn t guarantees targetted traffic, what do you need!

I recomand you to spend the same money in a AdWords or Facebook Ads campaign!

Of course is hard to receive clicks spending few cent/click so you must learn to use one of these instruments and then focus on it!

I remember those days and know exactly what you feel right now! As others have already suggested, ditch 7search altogether and try something else. Facebook seems like a great place to start.

Since you're direct linking your offers, the ad itself should probably need a little polish as well. You should try a ton of different ad variations (20 or more). You'll notice that even a slight change like the order of words in a sentence will make a difference!

I'll also take the time and suggest the adult niche. There are many affiliate programs nowadays and even more tube sites where to advertise. This is where I have found the most success by direct linking with no landing page. Could be just me... lol.
