Favorite (Free) WP Themes?

I have a site that I let go when we were struggling with money and couldn't keep up with hosting fees. I want to re-vamp that site into a blog. I also want to set up blogs in other areas. My main goal in creating these sites is to highlight my writing talents in order to get more freelance clients, but it definitely wouldn't hurt if the sites themselves were creating income.

I am completely overwhelmed by the number of WP templates available, and my web searches aren't turning up anything other than what seem to be promotional lists. I'd love to get some personal recommendations, including a small note about what you like about it in particular. It would be even better if you had an example of that theme in action. I'm feeling like a newbie even though I've been here before.

There are themes specific to your blog style and purpose. Like seo themes, adsense themes, responsive themes and many more.

You have to select your purpose first and then select according to your needs. Each one have their own taste and style. Further, once you start getting traffic then you have to customize according to your audience behavior. So its a on going process of theme customization.

Zerif-Lite is a pretty nice looking and easy to use free theme!

My advice though would be to save up and purchase a premium theme. So much better than free themes!
