Is it just me or do solo ads not work for traffic anymore? I've purchased hundreds of clicks in the last few weeks and received a total of 16 new subscribers.

I realize that there is a good chance its just my offer but I'm curious about what others have experienced.

    That's probably just you. I still receive 30% to 40% Opt-In rates.

Of course it also depends on you landing page.

If you use single or double Opt-In.

    And of course the vendor.

I used to get 40% pretty consistently, with basically the same strategy. That's why I'm a little flustered.

    Low quality seller.
    Landing page errors
    Redirects don't work

    Autoresponder errors

many factors really or it may be just your offer is not hyped or desired for the audience you're buying in.

Example : Random people gets promoted a Health product
Many solo ad sellers tend to do that claim that their list is for solely IM/MMO/BIZ OP but most of it is came from ppc | link resells etc.

I purchased many solos in the past but received poor results. I did get lots of optins but most of my subscribers are not responsive. 90% of them don't even open my emails, so in the end, I quit using solos.

I'd look at your traffic source first, but also you need to make sure you have a good funnel in place.

I recently built out a new funnel to start getting into the SAS business and bought 300 clicks to test it last week. I got a 37% optin rate (which could be much higher), and 5 sales on the front end, with 1 upgrade. Haven't finished testing through the backend yet..

So while I am somewhat new to the solo ad game and still have a lot to learn, I can tell you they definitely work if you do it right.. just my first run was pulling in sales and gave me back 150% ROI.

I've learned that it's all about creating a funnel that fits your market and has a really good offer, sales letter, unique selling point, and great price point.

Well udimi is the only place you should be buying solo ads from.

And even than, you should only buy traffic that is 100% top tier.

couple of factors are at play. Yes your not only your offer and structure of your landing page has a big effect but also the solo vendor you are spending your money with.

There is a lot of fraud out there I hate to say among solo vendors!

You need to screen them with a set of questions first! Also maybe find solo vendors that are recommended by others you trust.

Be careful on sites that sell solos.

A great strategy that you can pay somebody to do is simple use the google keyword planner to find high demand keywords and then go to google search and type in each keyword and go through the results and check each website for advertising or contact the owner and ask. Takes time but you can form some good relationships.

What is your site so we can evaluate? Do you have a squeeze page? Where have you purchased your solo ads from?

Not all traffic is created equal the quality of the vendors list does make the difference. I have brought solos from two different vendors recently and each had different results. Test small then scale up in you see good results.

It's probably low quality seller and low quality ads.

You can try with Adsense, you will pay a lil bit more but you will get targeted visitors.

Quality of the leads sent to your site could be the reason, best check where they are coming from.

You can buy from places like Udimi and you'll get what looks like a 30-50% opt-in rate, but if none of those but it become profitable, it doesn't matter how big your opt-in rate is. In the end it's a waste of money.

Solo ads still work depending on what your objective is.

If your objective is to sell a particular product or service, you need to look at how the target at the solo ad traffic is and pay close attention to your landing page.

If you’re simply looking to build a list, then a lot of solo ad vendors out there can help you.

Pay attention to your squeeze page.

It’s very easy to blame other people for things that might go wrong or point a finger at anyone and say that it’s their fault.

It takes a lot of concentration and long-term thinking to focus on what you’re doing.

You have to understand that some people don’t hit a homerun when they first step up to the plate.

Most people would have to take many swings until they get a homerun.

That’s just the way things are.

If you say that you’ve been very successful at solo ads before, it just might have been a nice streak of beginner’s luck.

Things will go back to their natural statistical distribution and eventually, the name of the game will still be quality.

Pay attention to the quality of your landing pages and squeeze pages.
