Digital or Inbound Marketing services?

Hello everyone,

I was looking for online marketing services. And I found lots of inbound marketing offers which are really pricy!

Basically you just get Integrated Marketing Strategy, 1 Quarterly Inbound Marketing Campaigns, 2 Monthly Blog Articles, Social Media Community Manager, Monthly ROI Reporting Meeting, Monthly Email Marketing for 2,500 USD/month.

Then the Digital Marketing companies offer same things but for 900 USD/month.

What's the reason for such huge price difference for exactly same services?!

Thanks a lot!

If I had to guess without sharing names, it's probably the quality and customer service that you're paying premium for. Think of it like car companies, they're all selling the same thing a vehicle. So why is Honda and Mercedes different in price? Well the quality, customer service, technology inside the vehicle etc

You have to understand why inbound marketing is so expensive.

It's not expensive because they use software; it's not expensive because they have canned, ready-to-go traffic.

Real inbound agencies are expensive because they deliver high quality, highly targeted traffic based on content that builds credibility.

This is very different from the typical cheap traffic offers you get.

A lot of traffic packages are so cheap because that traffic doesn't really do anything.

Inbound marketing, though, is really all about getting you the results that you're looking for.

This is why it's really important when comparing between different inbound agencies to focus on those that guarantee some sort of results.

It doesn't have to be a slamdunk guarantee, but they have to guarantee some sort of benchmark or some sort of results.

Otherwise, it's just too easy to lose your shirt.

Don't let the high prices scare you off; focus instead on return on investment.

I'd rather spend $1,000 on a company that can produce $10,000 from the sales than $100 on a cheap traffic package that doesn't really get me anywhere.

I hope you can see where the problem is.

That's exactly why it's expensive. Three years ago the phrase "inbound marketing" didn't even exist...HubSpot created it and coined the term to explain their amazing new strategy to get sites to rank. The only problem was that they offer SEO software to help you write articles, help you understand keywords, help you seek link opportunities, etc...and you're going to pay around $1,000 a month for that privilege for a small business.

And by the way, that's no content, no backlinks, no email campaigns....nothing. The $1k is just a monthly usage fee. You still have to do all the work on your own...which is why companies selling Inbound Marketing are so expensive. They essentially cash in twice- once for their own work, and once for the fat commission from HubSpot, Inbound or whatever software they use.

That's like going to the dentist and saying, "Here doc, I bought you a an instruction book so you can work on my cavities. I figured that you probably wouldn't know how to fix my teeth without it."

So the question, "Why is inbound marketing so expensive" is very easy to answer- those professionals you're paying need the software to tell them what to do- which means that they are practically worthless. An SEO agency, on the other hand, will do many of the same things WITHOUT relying on cheat notes to do the thinking for them.
