Only 129 clicks with 7000 views! Something is not right about your resource box. With that many views you should be getting WAY more views. My articles average about 20% click through rate. So, that would be about 1,400 clicks in your case!

Here are some quick basics for a good resource box. Get rid of the fluff where you tell about yourself. Don't say, "schnisz is a super amazing internet marketer and has been making millions for years online, etc." You get the point. Just tell them that you want them to click on your link and visit your site!!

For example, here is generic resource box that works well.

"Next, Click Here to get professional advice on (insert article topic/problem). This site/product has helped thousands of people with this problem. Get videos, books, and articles available for immediate download right NOW. Come Check Out This Site."

Something like that with another link added will get you a 20% CTR. I have a couple hundred Ezine Articles up and it works everytime. There are probably lots of other good resource boxes, but this works for me.

I think the click through rate varies depending on each article. I always try to leave a little bit to be desired at the end of the article so the reader is forced to make a click to learn or find out more.

Keep writing and keep testing different ways to optimize your click through rate and you'll eventually get it.

A little trick that I found works great with ranking articles on Ezinearticles is to start your title with a number. For example "Ten Ways to Make Money From Home" or "Three Ways to Increase Your Opt-In Rate".

For some reason, Google seems to like these types of articles from EzineArticles and tends to rank them higher.

You can also get some back links to your article to push it up the SERPS. Write another article and link it to the first one or social bookmark it.

Just think how many sales or clicks you could have gotten with that article on your own site with 7000 views. A few things some left out....

Many article directories (NOT ALL) including EZA slaps google ads on your articles, that kills anywhere from 1% - 30% of your "possible" customers, as Alexa pointed out there are many factors involved here. Also keep in mind many views on EZA are caused due to your competition and publishers that may or may not decide to publish your article on their blog.

If that article was on your own site and you build backlinks to your own site and you get 7000 views then your possible sales rate would increase by 10 fold as you would not have any other "related" ads on your site to draw the possible customers attention away from your article.
