Which crowdfunding sites are the easiest to leverage traffic on?

I don't have the ability to drive traffic to my crowdfunding page. That said, which crowdfunding sites are the easiest to leverage traffic on? (Kickstarter, IndieGogo, GoFundMe, etc).

If you can't drive traffic to your crowdfunding page, it really doesn't matter which you choose. You're unlikely to make it work.

That said, driving traffic doesn't mean you have to have your own website, your own mailing lists, your own social media presence. If you've got a compelling product, you might get others to share it for you on their networks -- but that takes a lot of legwork and hustle to make happen. Usually what happens is one big page will pick up a story which will start a chain of other pages, websites and even news sites picking up the story.

But for that to happen, they have to know about your project. And as someone who runs a large Facebook page, I can tell you that we are constantly bombarded with Kickstarter requests, Indigogo and everything else. So we never, ever bother looking for interesting projects. They come to us.

So my advice is to pick the crowdfunding platform based on which is the best fit for your project, not for its ability to drive traffic. Because, just as with everything else on the internet, "If you build it they will come" just doesn't really work in crowdfunding.

Kilgore - would love to have your views on those few CF requests
    you find interesting and newsworthy.

Kilgore absolutely nailed it. Check out large accounts on social media sites for shout outs, if you don't have the ability to do it yourself.

    Hey there,

Keep in mind that people that do crowdfunding usually have an audience before hand that they drive to make the first half or even more of the donations.

This gets other visitors that just stumble upon your site to be interested in seeing your idea. So make sure to build a community probably by using a squeeze page with a free offer to signup for a newsletter and keep them engaged and once you have a sizable list announce your upcoming event and then announce when it's live to draw a lot of traffic right away to your page.

    Hope this helps

    Adam
