Funnel conversion question

Hi, I am almost done with my funnel, please critique: instantfatloss.net

I have a question, what in your opinion will convert better:

Option 1 Optin page- affiliate offer - 1st email containing download link for bribe- email sequence

Option 2 Optin page- thank you page with bribe - email sequence

The funnel will promote the 3 week diet.

What are your opinions?

Option 1 will get more sales in the begining. Option 2 probably more down the road.

It really depends on your target audience. You should test both out to see which one produces the best results for you. Also remember to track everything.

Combine them a bit. Thank you page tells them the download link will be emailed to them shortly. And while they are waiting, check this out. Set the thank you page to meta refresh to the affiliate offer in 3 or 4 seconds.

    • I'm in total agreement with Rob and the sequence he suggests (one I use to great success).

I would just add to this by saying if you are promoting your own product as the 'OTO', then you don't necessarily need the auto redirect page as you can add message regarding the gift being sent to their email at the top of the page and then have the offer right underneath.

Wishing you all the best in your online adventure

Which ever you choose, make sure you have a good balance of value and offers. Too many offers and they'll get spooked. Not enough offers and you'll go broke.

If you're looking for a conventional answer, option 2 will work.

This is how it normally pans out.

You get people to your opt-in page and they sign up for a freebie.

They then get an email once they're member of your mailing list because they wanted the freebie time.

You have to word your emails properly so they can get excited about whatever it is you're promoting.

This is how the game is normally played.

Unfortunately, most people play it the wrong way.

You only need to look at the email section of this forum to know exactly what I'm talking about.

If this system is so bulletproof, then everybody and his dog would be making money.

    This is hardly the case.

In fact, you can see that there's a lot of posts of people who are not making any money at all.

The reason for this is that you shouldn't use a bribe.

That to me is the key.

Instead of using a bribe or some sort of digital freebie to get people to join your mailing list, use information instead.

I would structure my blog or website in such a way that viewers would be able to access greater and more valuable information with each click.

However, at the last stage of the process, they would have to opt in to get that specific piece of information.

The reason why you want to set things up this way is because they're actually filtering themselves.

You know that these people are in serious need.

You know that these people are serious about the type of information they're looking for.

In other words, you will get them exactly at the point where they are most vulnerable.

After they opted in, you should then send them useful information.

You have to understand that for you to convert people with your mailing list, you have to be credible.

You have to give them something of solid value.

You can't just trap them in joining your mailing list and then sending them garbage.

That's a sure way to build a nonresponsive list or push people to unsubscribe.

    Neither situation is good.

I'm a little fuzzy on exactly what you're asking, but I think it has to do with when you collect someone's email - either before or after they are shown a particular offer.

Typically make the "ask" very small up front - like an email that puts them into an email sequence at which point you try to get them to buy bigger products on the backend. People are normally skeptical to buy a product outright.

Apologies if that's not what you're asking.

A small tip that should help your conversions, make the video auto-play. That often out performs click to play.

    Have a good one!

I would go with option 2. That is the model that i use in my business. But i dont make people click a button to enter their information. Either they enter their information on my landing page, or they don't.

  • you should make the video play automatically. Some people are too lazy to press the play button.

you can do that here: Advanced Youtube Embed Code Generator

I would go with option 2.

The funnel looks good man. One thing that I would change is making the video autoplay right away.

I see you are using a Two-Step Basic model. That is actually one of the most powerful landing pages you can promote

    Great job man!

    Keep it up!

Both Options can be effective. I personally like to offer value first and build a relationship with my list before I suggest purchasing an affiliate offer.
