this is the same damn website... according to a newbie

I'm new to IM, and everywhere I go, websites seem to be the same..

A Bold statement underlined in Red followed by testimonials and Sales copy, then a graphic of a
"100% 30 day iron-clad money-back guarantee"

They're all the same...

BUT I LOVE THEM...

Is there a company that makes them for you as I have no knowledge.

Also, are there companies that make eBook websites and take care of all the script for you...

Thanks

Yes any web designer could build you a page like this for you, "script" and all. It should be relatively cheap.

Any web designers reading this interested in helping this guy?

The whole idea is to sell your product. First you need a product to sell, then you need the domain, sales letter, and payment processor. Pretty simple, and in fact, pretty easy.

PM me if you need a hand getting it together. Look at the link in my sig for a prime example of a sales page

        G`day saq3m,

I was afraid to look here thinking "OH NO!! The newbies really DON`T
like the salespages we`ve been lead to believe are the best converting"
.... WOOHOO .. you love it!!

The cost depends on a few things ... and also you could very well pay a
little for excellent quality or pay a lot for absolute crap ... or you do as I
try doing whenever possible and create the darn thing myself!

Learning HTML isn`t as difficult as it seems ... and I DO remember how
difficult it seemed to me ... once I actually realized it was in my best
interest to learn and applied myself to it, it took very little time to create
my first page ... then I spent a few months doing nothing but coding as
well as installing/editing/RUINING! scripts and creating MySQL
databases so I could do it myself.

Now I make money directly from those efforts as well as saving untold
amounts of time and money by doing it myself ... so although I don`t
think I made any $$$ in the time I was learning in those solid months
of study ... I now have those skills for years to come and can only
improve as well as make $$$ providing the service to those not able
or willing to do it themselves or learn to.

Yes companies produce those sites ... not the best approach though
because they`re what is called "cookie cutter sites" ... ALL exactly the
same ... so if you just put it up as is ... you don`t stand out from the
crowd ... but it is quick and cheap.

Not sure what you mean by a "ebook site" and what script do you mean?

Anyway ... there are many Warriors better than me to do the job, but
I`m available for discussion on what you want.

Do you have any HTML knowledge?

I think that paying someone $2,500 to create a sales page is pretty steep. I don't provide this as a service but I created sales pages in under 30 minutes using Microsoft Frontpage which were ranked in the search engines pretty quickly....its just like building a regular site - just make sure that your sales letter within that page is good, pay attention to the key factors.

    1. Make sure you create a persuasive and interesting headline - that's normally the bold, red letters that you speak of.

    2. Type up a persuasive letter, with a passive aggressive, and polite feel to it.

3.Ask Questions, Give Examples, and State some Reasons.

    4. Describe the benefit of what your selling

etc.. There is so much to writing a sales letter, but even as a beginner its a good idea that you attempt this yourself - it will serve you as good experience and eventually you will have to do it so perhaps this is your moment to learn and practice.

Statistically speaking, your not going to make much $ during the beginning stages of your IM career so I suggest that you use this time to learn and start building your business the right way...some will tell you different, some will agree with me but I speak from my own personal experience.....

I've never paid for a website, so I couldn't really tell you how much something like that will cost. Whenever I do a website I do one of two things:

      1. Install wordpress and find a theme that makes it NOT LOOK like a blog
      2. Download a free template and edit the source myself.

Free templates are great, and theres quite a few to choose from. The beauty is that all you have to find is a general layout that you like and change the images and colors.

If you're interested in trying this, check out this site:

      Free Website Templates

Or just search google for "free website templates" and you'll find quite a few decent designs for free. You could also look on google for a free visual HTML editor. The kind of editor you'll want if you have NO knowledge of HTML is called a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor. I personally have never used one of these, as I use the greatest HTMl editor of all time: Notepad.

I'm not much of a web-designer, but It's not too difficult to look through source code and find tags you need to edit to change the way a site looks. Theres lots of tutorials on the web that will teach you basic HTML as well.

You'd said you like the standard sales type of page, with a large red text header and a plain white background. If that's the case, you could definately use a simple visual HTML editor to do this.

As far as an automated pay-to-download script, I've only used my PayPal business account, which will generate a link so that people can pay me and then it will return them to a pre-determined download page.

There are many companies which will supply you with a 'shopping cart' script so visitors to your website can add items to a shopping cart and then pay when they're done. Check this thread for more info about that:

Im not talking about a sale page, but an entire site to your eBook sales site, made to your spec with decent graphics, secure download pages, internal links structure, pop ups, autoresponders set up, squeeze page, clickbank integration, word press blog customisation and integration...everything. All you have to do is write the content.

        Drumroll please.....$150

PM me with your email address of you need my webmasters name...hes great and is truly above and beyond the call of duty. Ive spend over $25,000 on elance, so I (eventually) know value and quality when I see it.

Very good advice for someone who needs to know!
I suggest checking out the WSO's here - I have found some really great ones!
Also - you could go to elance.com or guru.com and post your needs there.
I agree that although first daunting - html knowledge (even basic stuff) is essential and like said above - you just need to get over your fear and jump in - its not really that bad!
Check out the WSO or other techie forum parts of the warrior forum!
          Good Luck
