Where Do You Look For Web Designers?

Hey all,

If you were in need of a web designer, which places on the web (or off) would you look? I figure places such as Craigslist, Gumtree, Rentacoder, Elance, and GetAFreeLancer are good places to start, but what are the other ones you can think of?

Ta!

David.

    Hi David
I'm a provider on elance and guru. I have found those two to be the most reputable. elance has a great management workroom set up and projects run so smoothly when I use the system, as a buyer I was able to find a few great providers I use often for programming.
GetAFreelancer.com, a lot of garbage work over there you will see a lot of "clone" requests, unfinished projects, providers running off into the sunset, and many copied sites.
    the others I haven't tried.

Every once in a while I find a good designer over at Digital Point. But that is rare. There are so many people over there, and everyone trying to do it cheaper then the other person. Its hard to find the quality work, takes a lot of digging.

Besides that, I try doing a few google searches and check out the websites that pop up.

I actually found a good designer by sending an email to a website I liked to find out who their designer was. So if you see websites you like, try asking them who did the website design work. Might find someone good that way.

I would go to Elance, Scriptlance, or oDesk.
