Adobe reader and DC? What the hell is going on?

Hi all,

I am hoping somebody has a simple answer for this problem.

There seems to be a "new" (not sure if it a version or what it is) of Adobe Acrobat reader and it now ends with DC.

When I open pdfs to read them I get a lot of icons on the screen but none seem to show me the pdf.

I am using Win 7, not in 8.

Maybe my good eye is going or it is still the residue of the anaesthetic from hospital but can somebody please clarify this for me??

Thanks.

Look near the top and you should see...

    Home Tools Document

You are most likely in the Tools tab. Click on Document

I was on the document tab. But I just played with it a bit more and now I can get rid of the stuff on the right by clicking view and then show/hide and then untick tool bar pane.

BUT is there a way to leave that unticked permanently? I tried the same doc and that pane appears again. I also tried in a different doc and same thing.

Hit Ctrl+K and see if you can change the settings you want in preferences.
