How to Work This Solo Ad Strategy?

I attended a bitcoin conference this week which was tailored mainly to the bankers of New York & Wall St. Throughout the conference, one of my main focuses was not necessarily on the speaker sessions but on networking with the individuals there - who were mostly big names in the industry.

What could I possibly offer these people? (not all were bankers but entrepreneurs in the space as well)

I realized that my email list would be a great thing to offer in the terms of a single solo ad for some of their content and promote what they are doing in the industry. Everybody responded positively to this.

What I am dealing with now however, is how exactly I can use this strategy to monetize and create a lasting relationship with these businesses. I do not want to pepper my list with content from other businesses, but my market research has told me that my list is very much interested in cryptocurrency investment and the evolution of money.

What I had in mind thus far, was to give them a free solo ad, measure the results and send these results back to them, then ask if they would like to do another and quote them a price based on the results. Does this sound like something which could work?

Is a solo ad the best method in a situation such as this? Perhaps there are wiser choices here.

How can I monetize this relationship and make it something mutually beneficial?

Is there anything I should be wary of in doing free solo ads to my list?

I like your thinking. You seem to be someone who thinks "outside the box," so to speak.

I like the solo ad idea, but as you mentioned, you must be careful not to burn out your list. Also, make sure you are delivering the clicks properly and not breaking the TOS of your AR. The big ARs frown upon solo selling and I know several people who have had their AR accounts closed for selling solos. You might want to look into self-hosted or other alternate solutions to deliver your clicks.

I think you are definitely onto something in terms of delivering traffic and increasing exposure for these business owners. As a small business owner myself, I know that my biggest challenge is getting my websites and offers in front of a targeted audience and also increasing my social media presence.

I think you should expand upon your solo service and focus on getting these businesses traffic and social media exposure. If you could deliver targeted traffic to these businesses that results in leads, you would quickly make a name for yourself in the industry just by word of mouth.

You should look into other ways to deliver targeted traffic for the business owners. Even if you act as a middleman there is lots of money to be made here.
