How to promote a fundraiser online?

I am trying to promote a fundraiser campaign online, and I really have no idea how to find and target the right people online that will be most likely to contribute to the campaign. I also have zero budget for this so I am aware that I will be extremely limited in my options.

    I was wondering what kind of advertizing would be best? Blog posting, article marketing, forum posting? Any suggestions are appreciated.

    You're going to have to give some more info if you want us to spill the goodies.

    What charity, what are raising funds for? Why? Who will it help? Who is already involved? What have you done already to raise funds.

    First off, I am not trying to raise funds here at warriorforum. I just need guidance.
    The campaign is on FundAnything.com. And no this is not a link to the campaign. It is for raising funds to help a homeless couple get a travel trailer to live in.
    Currently they are living out of their pickup truck. The goal is to raise $7,000 or more to buy a used travel trailer, pay for registration and insurance and two months rent in a local rv park.
    FundAnything has some social promotion tools for Facebook, Twitter, etc. but I don't know if I have to create accounts just for the fund raiser? And if I do how do I promote it with no pre-existing friends or contact list?
    I have never done this type of marketing before and I just can't get my mind straight about how to plan the work.
