Website (or sites) for a business with two locations?

My brother is starting a food truck business and he'll be working half the year in New York and half the year in Florida. The business is registered in Florida, but it's mobile and I'm planning on building his website, but what I'm wondering is:

- Do I build one website highlighting both locations, or two separate sites?
--- If I build one site, won't that be an SEO mess?
--- What's the right SEO approach for a single site with two distinct geographic locations?

Are there other things I'm overlooking?

  • If it is the same business with the same offers one site with information about both locations should suffice. There is really no need to manage 2 separate websites if there are no differences other than location.

Thanks totalprocessing. I'm sure you're right - the information for both is the same for the most part.
The only difference would be the locations he wants customers to find him in and that can be huge if for some reason Google is only recognizing him for one of the two geographic locations.

That's what I'm trying to learn more about - how Google might view and handle this and how I can best approach the job.

  • I think this article will answer your questions. Just make a separate page for each location.
