[spam score]Mail-tester shows a very low score

Hello fellow marketers,

what are the required steps to 'fix' the level of spam-score of a brand with many subscribers?

the spam score (as mail-tester/com shows) is quite low (about 4 out of 10 when as the higher it is- the better)

mail-tester says it happen from two main reasons:
  • URI_NO_WWW_INFO_CGI CGI in .info TLD other than third-level "www"
  • Lister in Razor2

of course that because of the low spam score, many email do not arrive to the inbox

franky, i don't really know what that means. can someone please tell me what are the step i should do to fix the problem?

thanks,
Ori

You could have (and should have) simply done a Google search. But since I'm here anyway. . .

The first means it matches a common spamming pattern of using cgi scripts in subdomains of .info domains. So you can stop using a subdomain (www is allowed) or you can stop using cgi or you can buy a more trusted domain extension and transfer your website there.

The second one means the content of your message looks like spam based on algorithms used to calculate matches to spam. So either stop sending spammy messages or test variations until you determine what is triggering it.

I actually wrote this post since i didn't understand where should i start after i've explored online a bit to find a solution, when transferring the website is considered the last option for now
