Differences Between Spending And Investing Money
Whatever amount of money you have, save as much as possible for your retirement and old age.
From a kid to adult in my early days of employment, I used to listen, believe and comply with this saying.
But having read Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad a few times and REALLY getting to understand the genes of what he says, I began to realize that is poor dad's advice.
A rich dad, for instance Donald Trump, will NEVER tell his kids that.
Sure he will tell his kids not to spend their money on unnecessary things like most parents do.
But there is one more thing he will tell them behind closed doors that I believe MOST parents will never tell.
That is -
To invest in things that will give you long-term passive residual income.
You see, the point I am trying to make is there is a small yet fundamental difference between SPENDING and INVESTING in money.
When you spend on things that give you short-term pleasure like material stuff, you are SPENDING $.
But when you spend on things that give you long-term pleasure like education, books and any assets that help you to make $ or enable you to acquire a set of money making skills, you are INVESTING $.
