Bloggers: what's your most popular post/topic in a long term?

Question for bloggers: do you have a topic or post that works surprisingly well in a long-term? For example, a post that gets visited without any advertising for months or years, every single day. What is it about?

I have a post with instructions how to download music from youtube which gets more than 40% website visitors every single day. What's yours?

  • Most people are over protective of their niche and what works for them. You could try browsing twitter or reddit and see what's popular in an industry your interested in.
  • Case studies seem to really pique my reader's interests. I recently decided to join a high end coaching/mentoring program to help push my business up a notch, and to also give my readers a kick ass case study. I'm documenting the entire thing, and so far the response has been overwhelming. I'm 4 weeks in and those posts have tripled my daily unique visits. The best part is that it seems most of the new traffic finding my case study is from word of mouth in FB groups. I'm not promoting it much at all (yet). Basically the case study is promoting itself!
