I am looking for a mentor

Hi, I am looking for a mentor, for somebody, who will show me direction, who will show me a way to make money online. I know that Money Button doesn't exist, but I think it is very important nowadays to have somobody to help. I am a student, I would like to work at home, I am not lazy and want to take action right now, because I have bad financial situation (like most people actually). I hope that there is somebody who can help me. Thanks

  • Making money online is a state of the art business. It's is definitely not a fast or easy to make some money if your coming completely off the street.

    Like any business you are going to be required to invest in that business. If you do not have a advertising budget right now and it can be as little as 50 bucks a month but if you don't have a spit shell in a claim to talk about it will take a lot more time.

    In the end its all about supply and demand. Do that and convert through your offers and you got it made.

    Pick your high demand/competition market and niche then go affiliate with a product owner. After you got those two things you need to separate yourself from your competition by setting up your own website on your own hosting. Full control for tracking which is extremely important.

    In the end its all about numbers and thats what I love about IM. You want to go after those earnings per click and try to get them as high as possible and again it all comes back to the optimization process. Master how to optimize your websites/campaigns for conversions and you got it mastered.

    Well that and traffic. With traffic you want it today and you want to be able to get as much as you want. Always start small and test first

  • As I wrote, I am looking for a mentor. I hope to hear some advices, tips, because I know now, that me, as a newbie , it is very difficult to start somewhere. The most important question in my current situation : Investment is necessary to start? I guess, that nobody is not going to mentor for free, but if mentor has a knowledge and results will come, it is no problem for me to pay for mentoring and helping.

  • I think the same like kk075, but I have one question after reading this : Do you really think that someone would share an idea to make money with someone else ? I would like to trust somebody who is really experienced and know what to do. I don't have money to pay for advices, I bought many ebooks and now I know that it was the biggest mistake I have made. There are many free ebooks, which are better than paid ones, but Ebooks are not everything, real advices coming from a REAL mentor should be priceless .

    • Why did the ebooks not work for you? Care to give an example or two of strategies or tips that were bad that caused you to not make money?

    • Yes and this is done everyday. The problem is not a lack of ideas, the problem is most people receive those ideas and sit on them. They do nothing and get no results....


      I'm also one of those who believe that a true mentor will not ask you for money. The advice and guidance you get from a mentor is priceless you would not have enough money to pay him/her back.

  • Sorry, rmsyplt, I need REAL mentor, not another useless pdf, I don't trust something like this, I saw too many "magic methods".
  • I have tried doing Reputation Management and it is saturated, I spend a few days sitting and sending emails to restaurants etc. Nobody replied. I have tried Teespring....but these all methods are not easy to do, but I tried to make even $1 and I failed. Maybe something is wrong with me, maybe I do something in bad way , that's why I am looking for somebody to motivate me and show me that it is possible to earn for living online.

    • Good luck finding that for free - sorry dude. Why would somebody who's successful take time away from their business to help a complete stranger?

      You should be looking for a coach and be ready to pay good money - instead of looking for a handout.

      I promise - I'm NOT trying to be an a-hole - just being realistic and pointing out you're probably looking for the wrong thing.

    • My point in asking those questions is that I figured the problem was something like you've stated - mindset is the biggest culprit. You are jumping around instead of sticking to anything long enough to make a difference. It's a common "disease" in this forum.

      So if a mentor or coach or whoever took you by the hand and told you to send emails to restaurants and you didn't get the response you were looking for quickly you would quit too - even though you have someone helping you.

      This is why many people don't offer personal help for free - they've discovered too many people are wasting their time even though they really want to help others succeed.

      "Not easy to do" is true of most things worthwhile in life and business. There is no easy button. Sorry you were misinformed.

      Motivation has to come from yourself. No one can motivate you or make you do anything. You've got to do that yourself.

      What other things have you tried?

  • I know that nobody will spend his time to help newbie for free, it is understandable. I only want to know what should work for me, what can be usefull at the beginning. Jeff, can you tell me if you started alone or somebody helped you at the beginning?

    • I started on my own for the first 2 years and did OKAY

      I didn't start making good money until I got a COACH - somebody I paid good money to for their help. It was actually a clickbank product at the time with webinars twice a week so it was maybe $100 a month at the time.

  • Mark, I have to agree with you, but when I bought Ebook for the first time, I was so motivated and I started working with it and than I decided to buy another ,to have some methods to choose from, I disovered that in another Ebook was the same method like in this first one, so it was very demotivating when I saw that somebody sell Ebook with methods only to make money by selling this. I hope that you see what I want to say. I am wondering if somebody is willing to share his niche or method and he is not scared of saturation, it is hard to believe that something like this exists.
    Another thing is that there are many advices or many people want to help, but I don't know them, I don't know who is worth to trust. It all is more difficult than I thought. Unfortunately, I don't have website and it is another mistake made by me. I thought that when I buy Ebook and I will work with it, money will come easily, but it is not so easy like I thought, ebook is not enough to make real money.

    • There is nothing new under the sun. Every ebook and mentor and training and coaching that has anything to do with email, let's say, talk about the same exact things. Things such as:

      *Define your target market
      *Develop a product or report to get people to sign up to your list
      *Make a squeeze page
      *Drive traffic to the squeeze page
      *Send emails to people that subscribe

      The mentor you seek will tell you to do the same things that are in the ebooks most likely.

      There is no saturation - there are people with the resources and marketing knowledge and budget to make sales and then there are those that don't have what it takes.

      A mentor isn't going to tell you his secret niche that he's making thousands of dollars from - they don't want competition either. This is something you have to figure out on your own.

      There are plenty of coaches and mentors are fakes that will steal your money and disappear even though you talk to them on the phone or on Skype. You never know anyone unless you are related or unless they live in your town.

      And just because someone isn't charging doesn't mean their advice is any good.

      How did you send out the reputation management emails? Was it from somewhere like Google or Outlook.com? How did you get the email addresses? What did you ask them to do in the email - go to a website, call you, send an email back, make a payment or what?

      Like I said a mentor or coach will share the exact same things that are in an ebook somewhere most likely.

      Buying an ebook doesn't make you money. Doing what is in the ebook is how you make money. And you have to stick to it for a longer time than a few days.

      Every penny I've made online I've learned about through this forum, ebooks, and going out and doing what I've learned.

  • Alot of us on the forum can be a great mentor for you. The true question is whether or not you will do what we tell you to do - without you arguing back and forth to us.

    In short if you want a good mentor, you're going to have to pay for them. Because if they're like me, then they will charge you a high fee - just to deal with the bickering about a particular strategy - or the fact that alot of your broke competitors' aren't doing what we advise.

    • A website is the best way to start, in my opinion, although there are other ways of making money online without a website, of course.

  • I was doing a research and I was sending emails from Gmail accounts to companies owners, I tried to make my profile legit. I was waiting for emails from them, but I didn't receive any and it means that I did it wrong. Reading all posts here, I conclude that the base is WEBISTE, am I right?
  • If I had seen your email from a Gmail account I would assume it was junk/spam. Most professionals offering this type of service have a website listing out their services, information to help the business owner make a decision, etc. No wonder no one responded.

    I doubt the ebook told you to do it that way but maybe it did. If it did not, as I assume, it's not the ebook's fault you failed. If you didn't follow a mentor's advice you would fail too.

    So that's why I say it's not an ebook versus live person problem as much as something you need to fix in how you are doing things.

    My suggestion is to start at the beginning by asking and answering questions such as:

    Why do I want an online business?
    What skills or talents do I have that could help others achieve their goals or fix their problems?
    Where can I find people with this problem and get in contact?
    Are they spending any money now to try and fix the problem or attain the goal?
    Is there any competition (competition is a great thing not a bad thing)?
    How can I package my skills or talents in a way that would appeal to this group of people?

    Then make some decisions and get started. Learn as you start and do the process. When you get stuck there are people that will help in most cases right here on this forum.

    But most importantly stop blaming the ebooks and thinking a mentor or anything else is your key to easy street.

  • I am not blaming ebooks, but I see that some forums are only for selling useless advices to earn something. I was stupid thinking that it is very easy to make money following steps described on ebook, as you said it needs more effort. The problem is with my attitude I think. I have to change it right now ! I didin't think about it like this, that if I would receive email, like I was sending, I would pay for something like this. It has to look more legit. Thank you for your comprehensive replies Mark. I appreciate it.
  • I would like to put an effort doing this, I have an idea and I wiill do what I read from here. It will take months but nothing is free. I know that I won't build an empire in just few days. I would like to be an entrepreneur. I will do my best to achieve this. Thanks everyone for help.

    • I think a Coach can accelerate your progress, but I do not think it is necessary.

      I learned most of my skills from places like this. I always called them 'silent' Mentors. Credible and solid members here at Warrior that I would watch and listen and sometimes even emulate with my own twist of what they did/said and get bits and pieces of Gold that way

      It can be done ,and it is a viable option
