Smoothest way to manage a paid newsletter?

Is there any good way to automatically add and remove subscribers to a paid list based on their billing status (i.e. paid, canceled)?

Currently I have lists at both mailchimp and getresponse; both are just prospect lists. I'm building a continuity newsletter, and Getresponse has told me there's no clean way to directly add or remove subscribers based on their billing status. Hopefully there's another way.
