Quick Teespring Question Please

Hi Warriors:

Hope the weekend is going well.

Never have been involved with Teespring or their competition but am curious.

Why is it when you see examples of campaigns/goals to reach somebody will set 50 shirts? In one of their own examples they used 50.

Would they allow you to pick the minimum (be it 3 or 5) and if you surpass the goal great.

Wouldn't it be better to strive for 3 and market well so you sell 100 instead of attempt 40 and sell 5?

Sorry if the question is stupid.

Thanks as always,
Craig

You make more money per shirt the more shirts you sell - the profit margin goes up - that is why the goal is set higher by some people. You can set it low, however, and sell more and then still get a higher profit per shirt than your original goal. So if you are new or don't know if your shirt is going to be desirable to buyers, you can set it low and learn how the process works before deciding how you want to set your goals in future campaigns.

    • One thing also to keep in mind is that you can lower your goal, but there are limits to how much you can lower the goal ... like 80% the last time I checked. So if you launch a goal with 50 shirts you could lower to 10 if things did not sell as well as you hoped. Now I think the minimum is like 5 or so, so it has made it easier to go to print. Additionally you do not totally get screwed if you launch with a low goal and sell a ton of shirts. They give you the vast majority of the economies of scale (lower price per shirt) as the order goes up, just not 100%.

This is just what you have to remember: The more shirt you sell, the lower the cost, the higher the profit!
