I think most people get "how" to make money online, but like you said, they have a big problem getting traffic to their website.

If you can figure out how to get traffic to your website while making a profit from the products you sell - then everything else can be achieved quite easily.

Traffic is actually NOT DIFFICULT to get.

Put it this way, any site on the Internet that allows YOU to build a link that takes the viewer to a site OUTSIDE of the site you've built the link on is a POTENTIAL source of traffic.

The problem is that different traffic sources require different INVESTMENT OF TIME AND EFFORT as far as CONVERTING that traffic.

Traffic is converted BEFORE it even LANDS on your landing page.

No joke.

How?

How you QUALIFY the traffic you drive DETERMINES whether the traffic that gets to your landing page will CONVERT OR NOT.

This means you have to BUILD CREDIBILITY first.

Most failed IM marketers don't get this.

They think TRAFFIC IS TRAFFIC.

Nope.

Far from it.

You have to either spend TIME or MONEY getting that traffic to convert.

And I'm not just talking about whipping your landing page into shape.

Qualify that TRAFFIC and make more money.

I always tell people you have to get seen everywhere by every viable means of getting traffic that you can work on. PLUS you need to have a product that converts. What do people need desperately they will buy what you got if you sell them information about it. Solve the problem or not they want to see if you will help them in some way. The warrior forum is full of lists of problems people have choose one and get moving sending traffic to it.

True, yet he states in his next post that he made all of $60 last month, so his sig is still a farce. Another person attempting to teach others how to make money online when they've yet to have any real success. And here he is starting a thread about how to make money online. Just my two cents...

I think the two most common reasons people don't make money online are:

1) Everyone and their neighbor's cat are writing eBooks, downloadable PDFs and guides about how to make money online, which then often push the total newbie to do the exact same thing: write guides on how to make money online. So now you have a death spiral of completely shitty and regurgitated information being written by unqualified people. If someone's new at it, they won't know what is what.

2) Not everyone has a knack for seeing opportunities and developing something that will work for them.

2.5) Because of 1 and 2, most people get frustrated and quit before they start seeing results.

We too often do not see the true value in our own skills. I think this is one of the worst blocking factors in our path to personal success, money included.

BTW - the "make money online" niche is so full of crap, that it's even a banned zone with many providers. I've read stories of MailChimp kicking out users that are in this zone. Makes sense. Selling hopes and dreams to the newbie that will never make a dollar in this way.

Instead, we all should focus on our true value skills. For example, maybe you're a good gardener, and been tweaking your nice garden for years. So you're really good at it although perhaps never considered teaching anyone else. Then create a product about that subject, a book, a course, and start interacting online. In that interaction, the value you provide will sooner or later be exchanged for dollars. And it doesn't need to be ABOUT MAKING MONEY. But on the contrary. Guess what - not only it will bring money, but also people learning this skill will be able to make money - by further teaching others the same skill.

I've made the same mistake, for too long. Today I see the tremendous value in the things I've learned and my knowledge, and I wonder why I've lost so many years at not doing this. I have professional and even expert skills in so many fields, that I worry right now that such a wide collection of skills displayed on my website might not sound credible for many users. Yet, been doing them for years, so guess what - anyone that'll look at my stuff will recognize the value, if the value is in there. People will instantly realize the value in your work. So if you've been doing something for some years, you got to be onto something, your work done so far has to have some true value of knowledge already. And it'll more likely sell by itself, you just need to wrap everything right.

So I know that I can impact people's lives in a deep manner. I worry about money no more. I do worry about how to bring that positive change into people's lives, the more, the sooner, the deeper, the better. That change, reflects back to you like a mirror. Money is just like the water that is everywhere - it's not raining now but it'll start raining soon, once that mirror gets activated.

well I have been trying to make money online for some 4 years now, working with different sources that were supposed to help you begin to make money the next week. well that didn't happen, after looking around i began to work with click bank university and began understanding the process of making money on line. being an affiliate trying to make money doesn't work, because i have been trying that for some time now. in click bank they talked about having your own product? buying plrs for one year now i found that having your product and people to sell it for you is the way to go. so within the last month i have sold two of my plr products and i make 60.00 that month, i am now anxicious to the future of my online business. so my friend hang in there, check out click bank university on youtube. thanks

This sort of question I am receiving all most every week from my subscribers and from other people, more or less if I compile all their problems, questions, asking, seeking help about how to earn money online or how to start online business these are the summery of all questions.
Personally, I love to help all of the people to solve their problem. Before I tell them what they need to get their success or start earning online or create their business or whatever it is I just ask first why you want to do this? Why? Which is very very important. If the why is not big enough the journey to success will be difficult because to get freedom of life is not free you have to pay for it. If why is not strong it is very easy to destruct from your goal.

I would like to start with my story. I was working in restaurant fulltime and was looking for an opportunity to start my online business. I start searching google and like most newbie, I started buying online courses and product but nothing happened.
I am not saying the courses are not good or the products are crap what they were promising on their sales page, actually the problem was in me. I was not giving attention on what I was buying, I was not learning anything but expecting money will come on auto pilot!!! until...

I started following some simple but very important fundamental or basic strategy these are very basic but cannot ignore to build your successful business.

A Plan

First of all to start build a business you need a business plan and this is essential. In this plan you have to decide what type of business model you want to follow for example: List building, CPA, product creation, face book ad etc...
If you stuck to make a plan just follow all the successful people, keep in your mind that deliver a good value you will never be out of business.

Second thing maintain your list.

Doesn’t matter what business you do online or offline build your list and keep a good relation with the list because everyone knows “money is in the list”

Traffic

Third thing is traffic. Traffic is a blood flow of any business. You have good product, good sale page, good system but if there are no traffic or buyer you don’t make any money. So please put your attention to learn about traffic in your particular business area.

Action

Forth and most unavoidable point is Take Action
When come to this point nobody is talking. I asked so many people did you take any action what you have learned that you purchase? Guess what??

No answer, completely silence.

My friends taking no action only take you to journey of broke which I say (JOB) you can keep doing next 30-40 years.

Building a list is important, but having an offer that sells is even more important. Building a list introduces more variables, and when there are more variables, it's easier to mess things up.

I say start simple. Put an offer in front of people who might want to buy it. Once you start seeing sales, then try to optimize sales by building a list with a follow-up sequence.

Making money online is no different than making money offline. One must sell a product or service that solves people's problems. Something that gives people more in Use Value than we receive in Cash Value.

It's very easy to get lost when learning a new business. The new terminology and the structure and strategy, etc. Just hang in there and you will eventually crush it!

You know, i have 15 years experience in Internet Marketing.

And...you can find so many people here self proclaimed "Internet Marketing Gurus" selling course, sofware, membership site access....
BUT 95% of them make less than $2K a month....
They also doubt about their own capacity to make money online.

They start offering value to newbies BUT... 30 days later they only promote affiliate products...products they NEVER tied...

I personnaly tried to buy paid traffic "facebook ads / adwords / display...." but it is very difficult to get a ROI ...if your brand is not well known.

Even if you want to collect leads.
Nowadays...a lead for IM niche cost a minimum of 1$ but in general it cost 2$.

It all depends on the type of approach, if you are advertising a product to targeted customers without them knowing you, i don't think you will do well.

if your building a list then spamming them with products one after another again you wont do well.

Before anybody who will really want to invest in a product or service will need to know you better.
its something called KLT

T- TRUST

When building your list they need to come in some how to your list. the way it works is you offer something valuable to them for free. then when they opt in then follow up email and be your self. this all can be set up in autoresponder...
give them useful content and free give away and tips and build a bond between your self and the email list. you need to understand they are real people behind the screens so don't start spamming them with products. know what niche there are in or what are there interest.

According to that then start promoting the products, and believe me that works better for me and you will make more sales.

I will have to say this can be a double edge sword for some..i.e. they get to Know you but because of that they just DONT like you lol

The most importing thing about how you learn not how many do you buy. You don't have to buy a lot of product in a short time. There is no natural LUCK in this world, the thing you need to do is keep moving Foward until you create your own luck. Survey the review of the best product to buy and FOCUS on the courses. If you fail keep study back the courses you are following. Never thing that you already know all thing. Follow the courses until finish and take ACTION. After you make some improvement, then you can upgrade yourself by purchase another benefitial product.

The main reason many new aspiring affiliates who are new to this business have not made any money online is they jump around from one thing to another while never sticking to anything.

Quick tips to make money online:

1. Choose a profitable niche where there is money to be made EX: Health, Wealth, and dating as a few examples.

2. Start a blog Based around that niche while monetizing that blog with related products from the get go.

3. Place option forms all over your blog. Listbuilding should be your blogs primary focus everything else is secondary.

4. List building is and should always be your #1 goal everything else is secondary as stated in the thread above.

P.S. Do not be scared of paid traffic it is like a hose you can turn on and off at anytime and you will never run out of it

Free traffic is good but takes a while to build up.

Paid traffic is faster and better.

It can be quite frustrating doing anything with very little or nothing to show for it.
That said I normally ask the question...What are you selling?

That may seem like a cheap or even selfish (money centered question) however I work on the basis that if you are not making any money online then you are probably not offering or 'selling' anything of value.

People will part with their money for something they reckon will solve a problem they have and not just because it has been presented to them by a marketer.

Look for something that people need help with, create it or source it then sell it!

People can see behind the desperate marketer trying to sell one shiny object today and yet another shiny object tomorrow.

When was the last time you bought something from someone whom you did not trust?

There is a lot more to selling than 'buy this' 'buy that'.

Provide value and people might want to exchange their money for it.

You've made some very valid points here. I think many people get brainwashed into thinking that internet marketing is some "magical" passive machine that just spits out money on demand.

Yes, it is possible to get close to that ideal scenario, but before you get there you'll have to work like hell and go through unimaginable challenges, probably worse than anything you've ever encountered at a regular job.

You have to be extremely disciplined and not think like an employee, especially when you're starting out. You'll most likely feel like you're working for peanuts and not getting any results for what seems like an eternity, but if you persist long enough and take concerted action you WILL succeed at internet marketing.

There will be trial and error involved. There will be sleepless nights. Some days you will feel like throwing in the towel.

There is light at the end of the tunnel, but the problem is people don't stay in it long enough to get there.

I spoke to a potential client 3 days ago. She's on my email newsletter list. She knows about Aweber, WarriorForum, and everything else.... but she never put them into use. Only 2 sales the whole year. I guess she was expecting the keys to the kingdom from me. I wasn't rude, but I know I couldn't deal with her as a client.

If you haven't made a single dollar online yet, then ask yourself.... what tangible proof do you have that suggests that you tried EVERYTHING in the book - but still you aren't making money?

Be smart. If having your own website and marketing it is difficult, then slide on over to Ebay or Fiverr. No shame in that. The only shame is remaining broke.

I think you need to try a winning method until all the angles areexausted. If you quit after one or two tries then IM is not for you.

Dont get me wrong but trial and error is something that a marketeer is used to do nearly in a daily basis... Well i had a lot of failures when i have started and i am not ashamed of that, but i have crushed it in Ebay, with one of my sites and lately on Fiverr. So taking action is essential.

I agree with alot of the replies on here, the "make money online" niche is saturated. The best advice I give anyone who's interested in internet marketing is don't give up. It can take a while of working without seeing the kind of results you want, but you have to stick to it.

It took me about 3 years of steady hammering it before I was able to actually make a nice living and my wife could finally stay home and help me instead of going to a job outside the home. You have to have inspiration, and keep it close because you will have to draw on it daily. Good Luck!

I think one of the biggest problems with brand new people is where to start in the first place. Starting a business model is a great idea but when I started no one ever said to write out a business plan or model. And when I started there wasn't really anything that I could find that even told how to write a business plan or how to figure out what should be in it.

Sometime things just seem to take a long time and sometime taking bad advice or everyone's advice is also bad. One time I got a comment from someone here saying why would someone buy what I was selling if they can buy it from the big boys.

This got me thinking in a couple ways, at first I was thinking he was right but then thought if I went on a search and found my site on page one position one for what I was looking for, which is where my site was for almost a year wouldn't I think that my site was one of the big boys sites.

So I thought if someone is searching for something they know nothing about how would they know who was the top sites in that area since we are always told the top and best sites are on page one. With that in mind I decided not to listen to the person who made the comment or what he thought I should do and this is also part of the process of making money doing this. We all have to figure out who to listen to and what advice might be best for each one of us.

I failed first of all when I was told to build a list!

I kept putting that crap off, because I thought it didnt work.

What a idiot Dummy I was!!

CRAP! no way, building a list, totally changed my life. I was able to quit my job months later because of one thing, I HAD LIST of people to sell stuff too, whenever i wanted too.

I also reached out to them, and then that was like when it really hit me. LIST BUILDING if you are not doing that online, you will not WIN at this game.

Look I do about $xx,xxx online......and 93% of my sales comes from EMAIL MARKETING!!!

So does it work!....YOU BETCHA!!!

What should I be doing more of.....????...... Getting more leads!!! Simple.....

What should you be doing more of, if you are failing...... BUILD A DAMN LIST!!!! As in YESTERDAY!

Its obvious that everything you started leads to failure if your don't implement the things people are giving out in a right and smart way. But whats even a bigger failure is those who don't even start out into anything. Anyone can be a success in internet marketing as long as you DON'T GIVE UP and also START SOMETHING

Hi there,

First thing you need to do is get into the right mindset
Don't think of making money think of giving value then the money will follow

If you have shiny object syndrome unsubscribe from all your lists
You need to be a marketer not marketed

Second thing, reverse engineer your strategy

Take action by researching a profitable niche
Find the traffic by going into forums and groups reading posts
Either make a product or affiliate a product.
With the research you done you can now answer questions in forums
Eventually add your signature and send them to a squeeze page
Gathering there email address
Build your list by adding value and nurture your list
Test what works and what doesn't and formulate a plan from this.

Once your getting sales rinse and repeat for another niche

Or as people said you could go to elance or similar and find out gigs people want.
Go get them done on fiverr for less money and pocket the difference
