For me, none of those grab my attention.

        I'd have deleted them, unopened.

But subject lines - and copy - are very market dependent.

If you get the message right for your market, you'll get your emails opened.

        If you miss, you won't.

So test, test and test again.

I was not attracted to any, probably because I know nothing about the niche but will go with what trevord92;10220833 said.

Speaking of UrbanDaddy, I remember a couple of years ago they promoted a DIY gin kit that sold like crazy.

I definitely would take Hubspot's claims regarding marketing effectiveness seriously.

After all, they make every effort to ensure that most (if not all) their claims are data-driven.

Much better than the suspicious "I made XXXXXXX in X hours" claims you find almost everywhere else.

Regardless, whenever taking action on tips you find on any blog or forum, make sure you set up a system where you TEST it thoroughly.

    Why?

    There's no 'magic bullet' solution.

You have to customize solutions to fit your particular set of circumstances.

Thanks for sharing the article, great stuff.

I did find some of those subject lines interesting and I would probably open them just out of curiosity. Now, if we are measuring open rates here I am guessing they worked quite all, but not so sure about conversions...

But then again that's not what's being measured here...
