Any good free web video players?

Troy,

Just a few quick questions as there are a plethora of players available that have a wide array of functions.

Is your webpage a blog of some sort or standard html?
What format or file type is the video that you're trying play?
How large is your video (in bytes)? How long?

If you're just looking for a quick and dirty answer then I've had pretty good success with the JW Player with most applications...but like I said, there's a LOT out there.

Search the forum too, you'll definitely find your answer!

LongTail Video | Home of the JW Player is free but for if you are screening for business purposes then you need to buy the license. One thing i really like about JW is that there are plugins to use it on Wordpress or Joomla. Also there are lots of skins to customize your JWplayer.

Flowplayer is another free and popular one. Worth checking it out

Else, if you are using camstudio or one of the cheap screen capture, they all come with free flash players.

If you have flash, you can find tutorials on search engines to make your own in a relatively short period of time.

I don't think it has the "non-commercial" license restriction
of the free JWPlayer.

I currently use and recommend Flowplayer.org - Flash Video Player for the Web .

Excellent piece of software, open source, free, and can be used commercially.

Plus it has a lot of configurable options too for the tech-minded folks.
