Hey everyone,

My website is about Dog Health and Dog Training.
1: I'm not a good writer. as of sentence quality. (I don't want to use article spinners)
2: I don't want to keep spending on outsourcing writers. when i have not made a dime.

Ideas of what from you guys on the WF.
1: WSO that has good videos, that educates me on how to keep a website without having to constantly producing content.
2: Coaching
3: Free advice (more than an article)

I have probably forgot to put something else in the post but these are the main concerns I have.

Thanks and hope to get some great replies!!

What is the main purpose of your website? Are you selling affiliate products I assume?

    Are you building a list?

One idea is public domain content. It's freely available and could help you to put quality content on your site. You will need to learn how to find it and will want to tweak it for the needs of your site.

A second idea is to purchase a few high quality PLR ebooks in the niche. Then break those down into bite-sized content that you can upload to your blog or web site. Make sure the books are of the highest quality or doing this will not help you at all.

If you can't (or don't want to) do things for yourself on your own web site, you'll have to figure out a way to pay others to do those tasks for you. This is business and you, as the owner, have to solve the puzzles as they arrive in your business. Every successful business hits road blocks. Figure out how to navigate around the road blocks or your business will suffer.

      Good luck,

      Steve

Maybe it's time to start thinking about streamlining. I.E. turning writing into a process that automates the stuff you're not proficient in (like sentence quality, etc.). That's what I did. Now, I can focus on getting a message out there rather than getting the punctuation right (cause that part's automated).

Your idea sounds different (very interesting)....What exactly do you mean or what is an example of it?

It's a process that I encapsulated into a software program (text editor).

You say you don't like to write, but how do you feel about speaking?

A little trick I used to use in my early days on the web was to record myself speaking about a particular topic. I would do thorough research on a topic, create an outline in mind mapping software, hit record on my laptop and talk through it point by point.

When I was finished I'd play it back, transcribe and edit it into an article.

I always found that speaking freely as if I was talking to someone in front of me made everything flow smoother and made the task of creating content for my websites go much faster.

You could try that and then outsource the transcription process which you should be able to get for a very reasonable price.

It should take some of the frustration out of the experience.

Smart idea. OP could also consider posting some video content as well as articles. Both are useful!

You should focus on shooting videos then. It's a bit awkward at first but it gets easier and quicker as you move forward. It's also easier to get more traffic to it since videos tend to rank higher and quicker than blog posts.

Keep in mind that you should always create content and you should always be building a list. I would also recommend Kalatu blogging platform for you. It makes writing 10x easier. It would be perfect for you. It creates blog posts by asking you questions and you just have to answer them.

You need to keep a hold of the skill of writing gripping and engaging contents, otherwise you wont be able to succeed in long run . Bcoz quality content is the key to maintaining a successful website.

Although there are several things you can do that have already been suggested here, I can't see how you'll ever be successful if you don't have high-quality authoritative content on your site. Either you write it or have someone else do it for you. These seem to be the only two options.

As for writing, I would suggest you find a good well-written website or book about a similar topic, but not the same topic as your site, and study their writing style. Is it easy-going and conversational? It is too formal? Do they use short to-the-point sentences and short paragraphs? Do they use first-person style? Do they make their point clearly and without a lot of fluff? Do they sound like they know their subject?

Use Google to search for sites similar to yours. My guess is that most of the high-ranking sites are those of major pet food and pet health product companies. Unfortunately, these are your competitors. What can you offer that is different/better than them? How can you make your site unique? Can you come across as being as authoritative as them?

What if I told you that I really want to be a pilot, but I don't know how to fly planes and I think going to flight school is stupid. What would you tell me to do?

If you said anything other than, "Forget about being a pilot", then you're not giving honest advice.

The same goes for your website. If you're not a good writer and you don't want to pay for content, then your website has no possible way to grow. There's an even bigger problem here though- if your site is not making any money, then you're focused on the wrong type of content OR you're delivering it poorly OR you're not getting exposure OR your products stink OR......we can go on and on.

Until we know the "WHY" your site is not earning money, then the content itself is not going to magically change things. So my advice would be to get an expert to look at your site, figure out why it's not generating revenue, and re-focus your efforts on fixing the bigger problems that we aren't talking about here.

If you had shown a link to your website, it would probably be easier to figure out what the actual problem is. Sometimes it is simply the domain age and the fact that you are probably competing with sites that have already been around for years. Sometimes it can be the design of your website and weather you are giving people a reason to look through your articles or if they simply click off and go to another site. I think you have to be kind of subjective to your own website and imagine that you are somebody that stumbled onto it. I usually look at a site for about 5 seconds to see what it is and if I'm impressed with what they have to offer. Can you say that about your own site?

There really isn't enough info here to give a thoughtful specific comment. But I will say this: a general principal as a newbie is that you are better off creating one piece of valuable content every 2-4 weeks than creating less valuable content more frequently. If you don't want to create the content yourself, find yourself a very good writer who can do it for you, based on your criteria. It is critical that the content created scores a bulls-eye with your target audience.

Once you have a few pieces of quality content in place your job is then to promote it to centers of influence and multipliers. Also get active in niche specific forums and authority blogs. Promotion is critically important - an often neglected activity.
