I need advice or referrals, quickly!!!

I had seen a price on hosting a site that I thought was an excellent deal. It had everything I wanted a few things I might not use right away but I had some ideas for down the road. I paid for a full year of hosting just like the ownership of the domain name.

To make a long story short, the person I got the hosting from was only a reseller and when he violated the hosting companies TOS they closed his account which in turn means that they closed my site too. I have since found out who the real hosting company is but they will not help me since they were not the ones to actually collect my money. They say I am SOL.

I am meeting with my attorney tomorrow(3 August 2009) to discuss my legal options but in the meantime I need a place to host my site and I have no more money to pay for it.

Can anyone recommend a free hosting site that will allow me to offer downloads, sell things, and have a membership site all rolled into one. I really need this site back up and running like ASAP.

Thanks in advance for any and all help and suggestions.

So you have the money to meet with an attorney to try to get a couple hundred (tops I hope) back........ but can't afford 5 or 10 bucks a month for hosting?

    Hi,

Go to eBay. Search hosting. there are all kinds of free one month trials. Some very good ones I might add. You don't have to pay until after one month of use. One offer last month was even for a true reseller/reseller account. I've been with the same host for over a year and I started with a free one month trial from ebay.

EDIT: I almost forgot, somewhere here on the main forum is a coupon code for a free trial of hostgator.

I had hoped that I would get an answer to my question rather than comments into my business affairs but since you REALLY must know, John has been my business atty since I went LLC some 3 years ago and he is on the board of directors as the legal advisor. Therefore, I don't need any money to get his advice on things pertaining to the business.

Great George, I will search the forum for either hostgator or hostagator coupon. I appreciate your help.

  • If you are an affiliate marketer you could visit one of your affiliate networks. Find a host you like. Sign up to promote them. Then use your own link. Put your new hosting on your credit card.

For the first year you get your hosting for practically nothing, then you know what the host is like so you can write a good review.

Do it right and by the time the CC Bill is due you should be close to getting your affiliate commission check.

    Credit cards are magic!
