Best Landing Page For Solo Ads

I would like some help here.

This is my landing page: https://tobiasthomsen.clickfunnels.com/free-secret

I bought 300 clicks - 200 clicks received so far, i have gotten 54 subscribers. with a conversion rate at 26.5%.

Is my landing page the problem or the solo ad vendor?

The headline sucks. It does not peak your curiosity or grab your attention. Study the headlines of squeeze pages that got you to opt-in. What excited you? What got you curious to find out more?

A headline needs to command attention, get the reader excited, make them want to read the next section of the page. The current headline you are using does none of that.

    Hope that helps.

Thank you. Just what i wanted to hear.
I think i will pay a copywriter to create me a high converting headline - i usually suck at doing that.

So there is nothing wrong with the lp? just the headline?

OK you got 54 subscribers. How many converted to buyers? Did you make a profit or at least break even on your investment in clicks?

26.5% Opt In is not bad, now you can tweak your landing page for higher opt in %. And tweak your funnel for conversion to buyers.

And now you have 54 subscribers that you can convert to buyers over and over again.

firstly, 26% is industry standard, not bad for this.

if you want, try to buy a self host domain name, like My Site, otherwise people wil get confused.

also, try to learn about double test, because no one will know which landing page is the best for this unique product

I would say it is your landing page.

In looking at your page, I would think that, "Affiliate Marketing Secrets Revealed" is your headline.

Then the "Download this Dummy-Proof Listbuilding Method That Made Me $107.68 Every 30 Minutes "Work" would be your sub-headline.

There is no congruency between the Headline and the Sub-headline. For eg. You say "Secrets" in the headline and then you say "Method" which indicates one thing (at least to me.) Also, the subheadline is not easy to understand.

However, since you have resolved to get a copywriter to help you, you have made a wise choice.

    Just Sharing,

    Leilani

Not to be picky here but:

    1. Change the headline: I read Affiliate Marketing first but then on the text it says List Building. Which one is it?
    2. I would take the "this" and put a "the" or "a": Download the Dummy...
    3. Don't use the past tense in the verb, makes it sounds like an outdated method. Use the present instead, as in: "Building Method That Makes..."
    4. Add Power Words whenever possible. "Every" is good, but "every single time" is better, in my mind it sounds like it's something that I can do over and over again, it's up to me how much I will profit from it.
    5. "Work" doesn't make a lot of sense in there. I would say take it out completely.

I would test this one instead:
"Download the Dummy-Proof, List-Building Method That Makes Me $107.68 in 30 Minutes. Every Single Time!"

For the headline maybe you can try a question, like:
"Got Half an Hour to Spare?"

    Test, test, test.

26,5% is good. Now off to make it better ,)

    Good luck.

    Cheers
    Dan

Agreed with your headline needing work. Also, you NEED a more specific domain named after or related to your free offer in some way. I would also test changing out that yellow coloration. Additionally I would test your submit button using "DOWNLOAD NOW" instead of get instant access.

I would consider testing different button copy too.

Something a little more benefit based...

You don't need a professional copywriter to write you 6 or 7 words for your headline... The headline doesn't do anything for me but let the data tell you otherwise (It might be amazing)... Simply create another squeeze page with a different headline and split test the 2 pages. (half of your leads will see one page and half will see the other). Use the statistical data to determine the best page and content. Do this for each solo ad campaign until you get around 1000 people to the page. The winning page is the one to keep. Just remember each solo ad provider may have more or less targeted leads so the statistics may fool you. Best thing to do is use Facebook ads or Bing PPC so the quality of traffic stays the same during the test campaign. solo ads providers are a hit and miss.

Clickfunnels has the feature to split test so no reworking is needed

By the way, don't change the entire page content, colors, buttons at the same time. Each one of those are a separate test. Start with 2 headlines. Once one headline wins then use the same headline for both and change colors on one. This way you will know what works, one change at a time for testing purposes.

NEVER CHANGE YOUR HIGHEST CONVERTING SQUEEZE PAGE... ONLY REPLACE IT WITH ONE THAT STATISTICALLY CONVERTS BETTER! !

Hope that makes sense - Good luck, Pete

Why do you think there's a problem? You've got 26.5% conversion rate. How many went on to purchase the product you were selling? What's the %?

Instead of changing the landing page which brought you 'good' results, why not split-test and create a new one with a different (or better) headline.

    I wouldn't hire a copywriter, I'll do this myself because I am split-testing.

Thanks for all the help guys. I will try split testing with a new landing page.

If any of you want to help me out, by showing a landing page they did a solo ad with, and got +40% i will be greatful.

Do folks still fall for the stuff in your video? I live in fancy houses, I buy fancy cars. Here are my income screen shots. Seriously? The only thing missing in your video was a clip of you driving the new Ferrari you just purchased, that you could have rented locally for a couple of hours. You need to think bigger!!!

I guess maybe newbies still believe that stuff, but anyone that has been around the block just laughs at that and moves on.

That said, since there is an endless stream of newbies on the horizon, I guess if nothing else, you're making money. lol

I have just clicked on your squeeze page, looks great and you got good optin % so far.
i believe it might need a tiny bit of tweaking done to it.
it doesn't really convince me to put my email in there for some reason.
you need to convince them to put there email, may be offer something for FREE. and use word like FREE course or FREE teaching. might slide up your optins slightly bit more.
"That my personal opinion but honestly it does look great."

    You need a case study

You need enough information to build trust

You have a timer but it doesn't really DO ANYTHING to build trust

    Sure, there's SCARCITY INVOLVED but...

so what... the viewer isn't convinced as to WHY they should trust you to enter their email address

Thank you Hannah for the tips.

However i am going to test with this landing page.

And building trust is on the backend.

I build trust and a relationship when i email them.

I think all that's necessary is some tweaking on the headline. If you are getting a 26% conversion rate with the current headline, then I would say the landing page itself is fine and once you change up the headline you should be able to achieve 35%-40% with ease.

I'm glad this thread got started, because I've been wanting to discuss a recent method that I have been trying out. It's very easy to do, and the conversion rate is fantastic.

    Here's what I am doing:

    1. Write a short, actionable report or create a 15-20 minute video that lays out a helpful/money making strategy. Make sure it's good, and make sure you have done it yourself and it works. The key here is to put out something appealing.

    2. Set up your landing page. All I do here is a catchy headline, an e-cover (I outsource these on Fiverr) and a "Free Download" button.

    3. List your offer on Warrior Plus as a free WSO. Make sure to integrate it with your AR. The whole point is to build a list with this. Once it's approved by Warrior Plus, you can then buy a Warrior Forum Classified Ad to get your free WSO up on the forum too (it's not really a free WSO if you don't do this part). You can put the Warrior Plus "Free Download" button in the classified ad or you can just put a "Download Now" button that links out to your landing page. Either way works fine. You might lose a few people by not putting the Warrior Plus button right in the classified ad if some click through and then decide not to get the download.

That's basically it. I know this method is really nothing new, but for some reason I just started trying it. I guess I never really saw it as a good way to build a list before for some reason.

What's really great about this method is I am seeing conversions well above anything I have ever gotten on any kind of squeeze page I ever used. One of my offers is converting at 61% right now!

Now, as it relates to this thread, I'm thinking of trying this type of landing page with solo ads.

What are your thoughts about running a few 100-click solos to test this out?
