Researching your competition...

Hi guys. I feel like Im starting to figure out article marketing a little better than I was before. Im starting to see my articles on page 1 of google, some even in the top 3 spots for my keywords. I really want to put my focus on writing top quality articles from now on so that I can get a passive income from these articles. I don't want them to be on top for a few days or weeks than begone forever.

What I want to know from more experienced article marketers is what are all the things you look at in your competition to be able to beat them? For the past couple articles I have written, I have been doing more research on the top 3 on google for the keyword than anything else. Just wondering what are the main things I should be focusing on with my competition to know I can beat them.

Thanks in advance again.

One useful tactic is to employ Yahoo Site Explorer to research where your competition is get their backlinks . . . and try to get links on those sites for your own site.
