As far as I know, there is no other automated software that can do what Animoto does.

However, if you know After effects, you can even make better looking videos.

The special thing about Animoto is that it reads the music in order to come up with a suitable display pattern for the images.

Is there a software program that is similar to Animoto when it comes to automated polished presentations? No, not at the moment.

Is there a software program that is similar to Animoto when it comes to reading music and coming up with a video that jives with the audio track selected? There is one, and it's not that difficult to find. I'd rather allow you to google it, as I want to keep it a "trade secret."

An alternative, however, is Adobe After Effects, like what Shakul said. The learning curve for that program is quite steep. But go to Revostock, AEProjects and Videohive, select projects (also known as templates for After Effects) you like - particularly those that interpret audio tracks and display videos/images to their beat - change the texts and images/footages, and voila! You'd have a video that is just as impressive but not as familiar as an Animoto product.

Have to admit, I hadnt come across animoto before, and it looks slick.

I now cringe at the thought that I produced over 150 videos on You Tube by screengrabbing a powerpoint presentation using a piece of software called ZD Soft Screenrecorder without all the whizz bang pop of animated images etc.

But many have managed to help build a list and make a pound en route

How about a free tool to convert WMV ( Windows Movie Maker ) to Flash then you could create something in Windows and convert it.

Okay. If you're just looking for a software that is capable of producing the video you are interested with, then there are 2 programs that will suit your needs. The first is, as mentioned earlier, Adobe After Effects. The other is Autodesk Combustion. These programs are not really friendly for novice users. There are alternative programs which are easier to use - such as the montages, transitions and special effects that are packaged with popular video editing applications - but none will allow you to manipulate the camera, composite footages, animate still images as well as their display order, and work with elements in 3D space like the 2 software programs mentioned above.

Well, those are the programs you're looking for.

As with most tools, however, they would be useless without the requisite skills for quality productions.

An option would be to hire a freelancer. However, for the quality you're seeking, expect to pay somewhere between $350 to $2,500 when you outsource such a task.

A more affordable alternative would be a simpler story promo vid, like the ones that Texas SEO is offering.
