Amazing Opportunities in The Health and Fitness Niche

That's interesting. I think this is a cool niche because there is a lifestyle changing aspect of the whole thing that you can integrate into your own life. Who doesn't want to be in perfect shape all of the time?

The real question is how to get started. Assuming you have no start up capital to begin with, my guess is that you'd need to create a blog of some sort for free or very cheap. Create some sort of audio book or other click through item that creates an incentive for getting people interested. It's not really different from other forms of IM in this regard. I'm just brainstorming at the moment.

  That was a circular go nowhere statement. Typical weight loss strategies, like a healthy diet and exercise. Undesired effects like better quality of life and living longer.

I like obese women. They kiss and make love with such passion.

Lol if you can get people to buy your product then that's all that matters. Whoevers' interested, test the weight loss niche and see what happens.

(BTW... I've tested this niche before... selling good, helpful information to obese people is profitable - plus they need it)

  You have called all of these huge and very broad markets "evergreen niches."

  fitness
  
  drugs
  
  beauty
  
  diet
  
  aging
  
  weight loss
  
  If you treat these gigantic markets as niches, you're going to have a very difficult time dealing with all the competition that you will face from massive well established global brands.
  
  If you want to make profitable inroads in these markets, I would suggest to anyone that they drill down deep into one market and create a niche in something specific . . . some corner of the market that has much less competition and that is not being dominated by big players already.
  
  Yes, these are evergreen topics. Yes, there is room in them for you as a marketer.
  
  But you should go in with your eyes wide open. You are grossly mistaken if you believe "You can never lose in this industry." You can lose everything very quickly in these broad markets. Pick your battles. Do your research to find niches that your can exploit. Put on blinders and laser focus your selling to specific in-demand solutions. Start small, lean, and mean and expand from there once you understand this game.

Yup, great niche !

Not just weight loss or skin care, but so many other things related to health, such as diabetes, arthritis, impotence, how to get rid of warts, cure bad breath, natural cures, clear up acne, etc. etc.

I have to agree with Mark Singletary. Saying you can "never lose in this industry" sounds like one of those high pressure Multi-Level marketing pitches to stary-eyed propsects desperate to free themselves from boring jobs.

Yes, health and fitness is a good market who has tons of prospects along with tons of experienced, big pocket competition. If you go into the Health/Fitness market it's better to go in with a "A-Game ...Bringing It Mentality" than a "No Way I Can Lose Mentality". You'll most likely be just another disappointed statistic.

i took a long run at this niche, and because i have a strong set of morals could not really make it work. If you are not selling a miracle pill or some program that promises to deliver more than the biology of a human can actually deliver, it is a slow upstream battle.

sure, there are those out there that dont give a crap about CPA offers that drain a users credit card on the 14th day of $90.00 for pills that do not work, and people fine with shilling and pushing pills that often contain dangerous ingredients, but that was not me.

if this comes off overly negative, i am sorry.
The long term relies on you having MORALS and marketing products that work though.

The best way to jump into this million dollar niche is to create product or get it done for you by someone else. Then you should contact those who already have big lists and offer them good affiliate program. Hence you will be making money, building business relationships and building your own list. Cheers :-)

Yes, it's a huge industry, but not necessarily the best one for a beginner to tap into.

Competition is fierce. It's hard to rank for anything. You need a big budget and some seriously interesting content to carve your way into health / fitness. It's second in difficulty only to online marketing.

For every keyword you try to target, there are hundreds of other people doing the same thing.

Hard work and brilliant planning will pay off huge, for sure. I've made several successful sites in the niche, but you can't do it half-heartedly. It takes time and serious effort to start making even small amounts of money.

It's always been a busy niche.
Back in the good ole days, before G cracked down on the weight loss ads and the Adwords banning of 2008/2009 started, there were so many advertisers for keywords like how to lose weight etc... G was running 3 ads on top, 3 on the bottom, 10 along the right hand side and on the bottom, they had a click here for more ads link that took to you 30 more pages of ads, 10 per page.

I just remembered, my first website on Netscape in around 1997 was a weight loss recipe site.
