Could Google penalize my website for having a statement like this....

Hi

Just a question about landing pages I am setting up for an Adwords campaign. Could Google penalize me for having a header on a landing page that says something like this:
"We create amazing explainer videos that will increase the number of new visitors to your website and will increase your conversion rate"

Thanks..

Google used to say, "Don't be evil". I can't see that your headline would fall into this classification, or indeed whether they were referring to organic search rather than adwords with this phrase.

I think that you probably need to provide some decent textual content on the landing page and not just a headline and an opt-in box. And don't forget the standard Privacy, T&C and Contact pages.

Google "Understanding landing page experience" to find tips from the horse's mouth.

Honestly, don't see goog would penalize you. No mention of increasing google traffic or search traffic or organic traffic

Increasing traffic is a fairly broad claim.

If Google were to penalize you it would have to penalize TRIED AND PROVEN media-based sites like kissmetrics, the companies who post content at inbound, and tons of digital media agencies.

    Don't worry about it.

Put up an explainer video that shows a PROVEN track record though... so people will think you're credible.

It's one thing to CLAIM something......

    It's another to SHOW people.

Be one of the few that SHOWS results and you should be fine.

Not really, but driving AdWords traffic is an entirely new beast anyway. You're landing page has to have navigation and look like a 'real' site in order to go out on all their PPC networks.

Straight landing pages don't work well in AdWords for a lot of companies. Just be sure to manage your spend so it doesn't get out of hand.

But on a pure contextual bias, it doesn't seem like they would, aside from some other element on the page
