I am getting ready to put up a page that has a product for sale and then after the purchase offer a OTO upsell. Also I want something that after paypal payment they can download immediately.

Which is better - the $7 script or Rapid Action Profits?

    RAP is pretty awesome...

That being said, I decided to not use either when launching my last $7 product. I'll tell you why just in case it influences your decision at all:

I now tell affiliates that when they mail out, they'll get 100% commission, plus half on any upsells, then commissions on any other product their customer buys... for LIFE.

RAP can't do that unfortunately, and this has been persuading a LOT of affiliates to sign up.

    (I used SynergyX btw)

The other thing is you can't use credit cards on RAP, I don't think (just PayPal)

    HTH!

I used to think there wasn't much difference between $7 Secrets and RAP, and I used to argue it haha... but RAP is the best... and for me it's paid for itself so many times over I would've paid twice the price for it.

I prefer to use e-junkie to handle the delivery. You can set up an affiliate program with e-junkie as well.

I'm a bit confused on using the $7 script technique with e-junkie and tying that in with aweber to develop a list for OTO. Can you give me an idea of how that all ties together or point me in the right direction?

Am finishing up a couple of short reports and would definitely love to try this method using e-junkie!

Also wondering about PayPal being more generally recognizable over e-junkie, if that would affect sales?

Thanks for any thoughts or experience on this approach.

Using e-junkie is much less effective because affiliates like the instant commissions.

Thanks very much for clearing that up. Looks like PayPal is the only useful path to encouraging affiliates.

            No problem.

Absolutely. Affiliates love instant PayPal cash. The other month we used RAP to sell just over 1,500 copies of a product along with affiliates.

For one, they'll promote it. 2, they'll promote it over and over to get the instant commissions so they don't have to wait.

...You might need to pay someone to install it though... or barter. I've tried to use the instructions in the manual to install it before and couldn't do it.

You'll need to get it installed and test it with someone before opening up the affiliate program. Buy it through an affiliate link, see if everything delivers correctly, then have the person you bought it through refund you.

Chris Rempel, a very well known marketer, had a very bad experience with the $7 script.

I strongly discourage anyone from using it.

Anyone can be an affiliate...and that's not necessarily a good thing. Use Rapid Action Profits or any other system else that lets you control the affiliate accounts.

      Not true.

You can set it up so that only buyers can become affiliates, and you can go out and find JV partners and set them up as affiliates. You can even set up a web form and make people go through the same kind of approval process for any affiliate program. It depends on how you want to play it.

As big is Chris is, I'm surprised he didn't have a dedicated server.... if he didn't.

The $7 Script can do all this? If so, thank you for the clarification.

I recalled reading that anyone can throw in their Paypal email after a unique string and -boom- instant affiliates for $7DS.

Correct. You can regulate it in the file where you type in the prices and names of frontend and OTO product. I can't remember what the file is... I'm not a technical guy and have been using RAP lately though I know it's done all the time and you can set the permissions inside that file.

    HI,

With over 1100+ users of RAP, I haven't seen where this is an issue. Chris' post dealt more with someone sending spam emails to promote, which can happen to anybody, any program.

Like Sid said, you have the ability to ban the affiliate for whatever reason and it will stick. RAP was/is the next generation of 7DSS and has only gotten better with time.

And like it was said, you have better control and affiliates love the commissions right away. Very, very few will bite the hand that is feeding, but the once in a while idiot that does is easy enough dealt with.

    Thanks,

    John
