Multi niche website vs single Niche website

Understood. Here's what I suggest:

1. Choose a market where you can promote PPL offers. (Pay per lead). These are simple join forms where you get paid affiliate commission when someone fills them in for free. Just don't use free in your ad copy (big no-no with CPA networks).

2. Put together a niche blog dealing, obviously, with a section of that market. You want your articles to be informational, not promotional. (Informative articles are more likely to be shared.) The promotion comes from monetization: ads sometimes placed in the article body and always dotted around your blog (sidebar, header, usually).

3. Learn how to syndicate those articles, thereby feeding your blog with traffic. Since you're promoting PPL, it's easier for someone relatively new to convert them, as opposed to revshare or PPS.

4. Grow the traffic. Become a traffic addict. As the traffic climbs, so too should the income, providing it's targeted traffic, the articles are good, the website design is professional, and you're well-monetized.

That's one possible easy route to get off the mark. I always suggest collecting opt-ins from day one as well, so get yourself an account with aWeber or Get Response, both of which are free for the first month.

You should target yourself with 1 signup a day for starters. Then you grow it. The aim being to get your butt up to around $100 per day. Good money, I would imagine, in your neck of the woods.

What you could then do is tutor people where you live. Show them the ropes. Show them how you did that.

Alternatively, do the old rinse, repeat. Leverage your success from the above and do it all over again in a different niche or a different market entirely.

NB: The above is a springboard for research. Not remotely all-inclusive information. But it will give you a relatively easy way to get yourself earning steadily.

Why don't you look at other "How" websites and see "how" they are realized? With a name like "how" it will take you quite some time and about 100,000 hands in order to get where you hope to.

Your name is not "niche" friendly. So, your domain choice has pretty much determined your best course of action and it isn't to think small. But then, are you able to do what needs to be done with a domain like "how"?

So my advice to you is a mixture of what the other brilliant warriors have offered you: create subdomains for the specific niches that you are able to be expertly passionate about and begin to populate your subdomains expertly.

Outsource or invite guest bloggers to fill in expanding niches (subdomains) and start developing this authority site.

If you are using Wordpress, then make it a multi-site installation or keep separate installs for each subdomain and use the main "how" site as a directory for your sub-domain niches. You can add rss feeds from the subdomains and recruit new authors and experts from the main site.
