Hey, Looking for some good respectable information. I think I just ended my relationship with my girlfriend of 8 years. <sigh> So I am looking to completely immerse myself in my online business. I have developed what I think is a decent foundation.

Yet since the technology changes so fast and keeping up with all the changes has been a massive challenge, I feel I have overcome that hurdle and now I am thinking, what do I do with all of this knowledge and technical know how?

What do I do with all of this software? Should I develop a massive integrated marketing system to blitz traffic to my affiliate landing pages? Or should I go for cheap targeted mobile traffic and send it to my Ad Mob links?

So your ideas would be much appreciated because I really feel like I am having a major life change....

First of all, sorry to hear about your girlfriend, that can be tough stuff.

Second, you're right technology does change fast. HOWEVER, there are plenty of tools and strategies that have been around for years and will continue to be around for a long time. Yes, you will have to adapt to changes but I would look to the most stable route.

If you focus on something that's constantly changing, you have to be constantly changing too. Reminds me of a post I replied to a month or so ago about someone talking about taking advantage of loopholes. Loopholes are dangerous, because they only last for a short time (before they get closed/fixed or flooded with competition), then you have to completely rethink your strategy and you're constantly searching for the "next new thing."

Whatever you do, focus on creating a long-term sustainable business that creates massive value and solves a very specific problem for a targeted audience.

    Good Luck!

I've learned to stick with what I'm best at, and I should add that I'm also now sticking more with software that I'm best at. In other words, when buying a new piece of software, it's no longer just an issue of the price but also on how much time it will take me, or a VA to learn and execute successfully and if it's worth it.

There seems to be a lot of software out there and I keep going back to the main basics: A good auto responder, a good analytics program, powerpoint, screenflow, plus other programs for animation, etc.

I might not be using the "best tip top" software out there but I"m using what I know best and know how to execute best.

Know where you're good at and maximize your skills. There are countless options for you to earn profit through this kind of business. You can try blogging, you can try engaging in e-commerce and more. Just know which one makes you feel the most comfortable. The first few months can be frustrating. But once you get the hang of it, it'll be as simple as eating your breakfast cereal.

Reading between the lines, and correct me if I'm wrong, it looks like the first option requires the lowest investment. In your shoes, I'd use my software and know-how to grow traffic to affiliate landing pages.

    John,

Technology and software are tools we use to help automate and execute our businesses, but as far as I know, neither one ever really made a sale. You are the business! All you really need is a computer, the Internet, a web site, and an autoresponder. All those tools have been around for the past 20 years and having the latest and greatest software is no really a "make or break" factor in setting up a profitable business.

The business structure and method of delivery should be decided after you identify your profitable market and carve out a niche for your business. How you set up your selling system will be conditioned upon how you can best reach and respond to your targeted prospects.

Good luck with you new endeavor,

You should sell something on Ebay or Fiverr before you lose thousands on your software idea, and start saying that making money online is a scam and hoax.

What has worked for me for the past 15 years is Email -> CPA/Lead Generation.

These days I pretty much just buy data/generate co-reg...targeted real time / same day (exclusive/non exclusive). The key is to start small with any source and test to make sure you can break-even in a reasonable time frame(cost effective data). Once I break-even, then it's a matter of testing to see how aggressively can I promote other offers.

I favor generating leads (no credit card required), as they will typically have higher conversion rates. Mainly I look for leads that have a make, get, save money angle to them, as they typically perform the best for me. Not that I won't promote something that does require payment, just have to test to find what works(winners) with the data.

In the end though, I'm really just monetizing the data and taking the path of least resistance to do it.

Anyway, that's the short of the long.

Hmmm..sorry for your relationship loss! The best way to use that software is to build a real-life bona-fide business starting with building a BRANDED subscriber list. Another option is to use that software, get some real proven results from income created with the software and launch it as a Product Launch on Warrior Plus or JVZoo. You may or may not realize that you are quite skilled in the fact that you know HOW to use software as many folks have no clue. You could even do a series of Youtube videos explaining HOW to use a piece of software and link it to a Page on your website with a Paypal button either selling the software or more extensive training. Many people BUY software and have no idea how to use it and get frustrated at the Vendor's support desk and throw up their hands in frustration. You can FILL that need in the market, if that interests you. Hope that helps..Kristie

Okay, the strategy I am going with for 2015 based on all my research is local marketing. I realize that in the USA 1 out of 3 people is on Facebook and just recently Mobile Device sales have surpassed PC Sales and by 2017 it is predicted that 87% of the market will be Mobile Sales!! Wow! That blew my mind how fast tecchnology and the way we sociall engage customers is changing.

So local businesses really need better Services because they are using out dated models like the Yellow Pages and they are literally spending 1,000's of a month. How can I funnel this money to me was the question I needed to figure out.

I'm going with a Service Package to offer clients Facebook Advertising Campaigns and Mobile App (Android / iPhone) and Mobile Website Optimization.

I'd like to go with a small upfront fee of $100 and then upsell my clients to $500 a month. Do you have any suggestions on how I can create juicy content and a system to hook them in and get their attention to build interest and desire and lead to a call to action?

thank you for helping me to sharpen and focus my mind...

Start with your full package, and carve off a piece of it that you can a) do quickly and economically and b) get a quick, visible 'win' for your client. Then you can come back and say "if you think that's good, wait until you see this..."

Wow! I am humbled. Thank you all for really pointing me in the right direction. I also appreciate the tougher criticism too.

Over the years, I have made money. Back in the late 90's I was marketing a Yoga Teacher Training Online program. Students would meet once a week in a chat room, then follow the next module with exercises and reading for the week, and then at the end of 2 months students would meet together in person for about 7 days. So that was my first success and each student paid about 1K to take the program. I did this for a few years and it was good.

Then technology really started changing rapidly in the beginning of 2000's and I my focus shifted to buying real estate and renovating houses so I took a few years off. Finally, got back on again to see it was once again a totally new game.

The last few years I have been on Fiverr. I have a 98% overall rating and am a Level Two Seller. Took a break from that too because I was having a hard time figuring out how to diversify and upscale my services.

I love all of your ideas. Now for the last two years, I have been buying products from the Warrior Forum and JVZoo. Whew! It has been so much fun learning.

So, once again, I am starting from square one but I am ready to rapidly excel and make 6 figures over the next 6 months. I would like to absorb and digest all of this powerful insight so thank you all again. And I will keep you updated. I have been wanting to be a regular on here but didn't feel ready to share my thoughts. Now I do. Thanks again....

Take what you wrote above and substitute the words "Facebook Group" or "Google Group" or even "membership site" for the words "chat room".

Last time I looked, people still do yoga, and they still go to classes. Therefore, the world still needs good yoga teachers.

For something like that, the tech has changed, but not that much.

It sounds like you have a solid foundation and you've purchased a few software so you've seen a sales funnel and how well they pull your money out of YOUR pocket.

    Why not replicate that yourself?

You can create your own funnel with a FE, upsells, residual commissions, and high ticket commissions. Your funnel should start with your squeeze page and I suggest testing that squeeze until you're hitting 50% optin rate.

Once you have your squeeze page converting at 50% or higher you can start working on conversions on your FE, Upsells, etc.

Your job is to get that funnel converting like a machine that allows you put in $1 and spit out $2+.

If that sounds overwhelming you can tap into funnels that already have the FE, upsells residuals, and high ticket products "done for you" which is much faster but you do lose some control when you choose this route.

In the end, I suggest you create a funnel (or find one) and start driving traffic, leads, and sales..

    Hope this helps,
    AK
