Short term: Sell your stuff on Craigs List. Sign up to drive for Uber. Sign up to rent out your apartment and move in with your friend. Can't remember the service that does that.

Long term: Decide what you're passionate about or talented in. You could create almost anything to make money if you love it, learn about it, plan wisely, execute, and commit to it. People make money with blogs, online stores, email lists, and more.

Long term - create a business. You need to differentiate between a product and a business and to differentiate between a strategy and a business.

With a business you use multiple strategies and products.

The original question, asking about a method, is asking for something short term where you're looking for fast money. That is where most people on this forum stop thinking because it is all they are interested in, and as a result they have no business plan, fail, and move on with their day job after dabbling in Internet marketing.

Long term? Stay out of internet marketing, online business, work from home, MLM, and all the other woo woo that suckers buy into.

A dollar saved is a dollar earned, so the money that you don't spend on scams, MLM flopportunities, vague coaching, worthless products, and advertisements - will be money that you've earned.

Long term:

Choose a niche, open a blog connected with AdSense and start write article. Use a correct strategy and after some months you will see results. If you write abpout your passions you will have no stress and this could be an hobby

Fast: you should work for other sites:

- surveys
- activities like fiverr

you could earn a lot of money fast with IM, but , of course you must study for some months!

another alternatives is earn by forex (or similars)

There are other automatic method to generate incomes. It s complicate to describe here but they consist to invest some money in particular activities like real estate buyers etc....

Money is a subconscious idea. Or, money is basically valued ideas, properly presented, and your subconscious mind spawns the ideas....whether the ideas net you near or long term money is based on how much mindset work you do, and how frequently you move into inspired, effective actions.

As for practical tips; blogging and list building, as well as social media, can net you some nice dough now and can help you make a large amount of money in the future IF you focus on creating and connecting. Create inspired content across multiple platforms. Connect with pros from your niche. Create blog posts and podcasts and videos, and comment on blogs and promote niche leaders to build your friend network.

Sounds like you're in a hurry. That's the wrong way to approach any business venture. Take your time, and start saving up for advertising expenses. No matter what you sell online, you will need it. You can make almost any business venture long term. It all depends if you find the business model that you LOVE the most.

I obviously don't know your skill and experience level in internet marketing, but whatever your long-term business model is you definitely want to include list building in it -- this is what will provide you with the stable and long-term income that will enable you to sleep well at night.

Focus on building a real business online. Fiverr is something you can do for the short-term and as a supplemental source of income, but I would not want to depend solely on Fiverr to make a living online.

In order to make money online, it's good to have a business model in place. You could start out by writing some content for websites and getting paid via Paypal for it, or write for content for other marketers (ghostwriting). You can check out a course called Writer Help Wanted by Ron Douglas and Alice Seba for more on this. The course not only teaches you how to write but the business side of writing as well.

As for a long-term model, writing like a described above could work, but it's a better idea to transition into something that generates residual income like niche blogging (review-site model), where you can put up content once and earn commissions whenever someone comes across your stuff via the search engines. It's also standard to build a list with this model - like a second income stream for your blog.

Short term you can use those "pay to (something)" sites.

Bubblews pays you depending on how many people read your posts. And your posts don't even have to be long. Here is mine for example: http://www.bubblews.com/users/geekgirlfi I've earned $3 for doing pretty much nothing.

There's also options here for short term income over a couple of weeks. This is only a small list, i'm willing tobet there are 1000's of these. Not big earners, but if you participate in enough of them for a few hours a day you're bount to get $100 eventually.

Long term:

Short term profits require tactics, and in all probability little to no strategy.

That's kind of like playing Chess, and focusing solely on capturing the power pieces, not the king.

My advice? Focus on strategy, and your long-term goals.

Anything else is sure to disappoint in my experience.

PS:

For short-term profits, you could look into freelancing. I became a level 2 seller on Fiverr, though it was a pain, laborious, and people expect a lot for little money. I wouldn't consider it to be a long-term strategic move.

If you want long-term, think of developing a business plan.

I have a plan for short term if you have the money. I could double the amount invested within one month but have to be dedicated and wise. I don't have the funds but whenever I have I give this a try. The best part is you have to be intelligent and stay in control.

Otherwise, if you want to earn money in the long run, you have to work hard and keep learning. You have to choose one business and grow big in the one business. Do not explore everywhere and stay in your specific niche and grow big and reputation. You will be always be successful when you start beating your competitors. However, a capital investment is needed at the start.

If you want to make some quick money sell your skills as an outsourcer..

People need all sorts of tasks done online and you can start making money by writing articles, doing web design, data entry, seo, and so much more.

Head over to Elance and start bidding on some jobs. You may need to start off a little lower than the competition to get those first gigs/reviews but not a big deal.

If you want to make money long term build a high converting funnel that converts your traffic and leads into sales, residual commissions, and high ticket commissions. Build your email list of buyers.

Short Term: Learn Youtube marketing/ranking with all free tools - easy peezy. Sell your video promoting a local company for a one-time fee or a monthly rental fee. Use your phone to take photos of the company and return home to upload your pics to free software called Animoto to make you look like a pro. Worked for me with a local pet shop and a local pet sitter when I was first starting out and needed money as a Single Mom.

Long Term: One Single Thing that you will wish you had done 5 years ago. Use screencast-o-matic to screenshare when you begin marketing online products, no matter what niche you pick, build a LIST. It will be your one best asset that no one can take away from you and can feed you and your family for many years to come.

Starting a blog and implementing SEO is not so simple or fast. If i were in a hurry I would learn about landing pages, pick a digital product to promote as those sell the quickest then focus on driving traffic through buysellads or find a relevant site for your product and ask if they have an email list you can use.. Ask How many subscribers they have? How much they will charge? Other Solo ad merchants rarely have targeted traffic so don't risk your money till you can experiment. My sig will give you more clues!

Long term, create a business that gets traffic, increase traffic then refine your conversions.

Without a doubt the easiest way to start making money in the short-term is through Amazon FBA and eBay by selling thing you find in stores and then sell them online. It's not sexy but I've seen tons of people start to make money much more quickly than with the typical SEO/build an affiliate site. Once you are established and got cash flow going you can start building your own brands and that's where you start building a website around your brand and do the SEO thing to get people to the site etc.
