Coming up with a name

We're trying to come up with a name for an advanced tutoring business. Basically it's a brick/mortar tutoring business using Scholastic's Read 180 program. The interior will have modern/fun decor and the learning style includes various stations such as multimedia station, computer lab, and teacher assisted reading/math/language

So far we have these ideas
Learning Lab
Soar - Learn at new heights
Excel 180

Can you help us brainstorm?

You didn't say who your target customers are: adults? children? employees?.... Sounds like a kid's tutoring service? "Learning Lab" sounds good, although a little generic... try to make it target your specific niche, so think of words that describe that niche and what they're getting out of your service.

Here are some tools/services that I found about naming companies.

My advice would be to spend some money on a competition and pick the best one. Putting some money on the line always make people more serious about the task at hand.

    I hope this helps

I would cross off Excel from your list - for obvious reasons.

      That's a good idea.

We just want to make sure whatever name it is, we can find a .com name for it since we'll probably branch out.

Thanks. With domains being so cheap it makes sense to grab a few while we're trying to settle on one.

          Acronym. I like it.

          Come And Find Education

          or

          Certainly, Adam Feared Eve.

          ...but that's not very relevant

What you are looking for is quite hard. I love to play with names as a domainer but I realise that most people on forum hardly wanner pay for it.

Coming up with a name is quite tough and time consuming but I love the game.

Those are good. We want to make sure it draws in higher-end clients, something that parents would like to brag about, y'know?

At the same time maybe something that emphasizes technology, since this is cutting-edge tutoring.
