Question about content quality for PLR

Hi everyone,

I am planning on hiring some content writers for PLR work, obviously I have a lot of choices as far as outsourcing. Is there such a thing as PLR articles that are to well written? Some of the best writers that I have found charge about $10 per 100 words. I have also heard of some very respected plr content writers advising to spend roughly $10 per 400 - 500 word article.

Any advice/insight would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,
Sean

I assume you're looking at securing original content that you want to give away with PLR rights. In that case it is very important to have a high quality PLR. Be ready to spend some good money for the high quality content. You don't want the content that is it itself created from other PLR articles.

The only time when I'd recommend using PLR articel is when you intent to use that as a draft to get ideas. You should them make changes and improvements yourselves. This would ensure that your customers get a fairly original copy.

I’d suggest probably hiring someone through a site like upwork.com because you could go through their portfolio and read client feedback to make an informed decision. Someone on Craigslist, for example, could easily say they were a good writer, but who knows until you actually get that final draft.

$10 per 400 - 500 word article is about right for PLR material. $10 per 100 words is not. That's more appropriate for writing that you'd see on a PR3 blog.

    Hey Sean-

Unless you're posting this content on a trashy, spammy 3rd party site and directing traffic back to your domain, you do not want to mess with PLR articles. Even then though, it does nothing but hurt you from an optimization standpoint and very few sites will intentionally accept this type of content anymore for obvious reasons. You'd be much, much better off with unique content from a junior/beginner copywriter for around the same price.

You'll notice that none of the freelancing sites use the term "PLR writer" except Fiverr, and there's a very good reason for that. Duplicate content does not do you any favors online and there is no sense on intentionally trying to buy/sell it.

optimization doesn't mean squat if you aren't relying on Google for your traffic.

Doesn't it? Because if you're going to commit to buying content either way, then you'd be an absolute fool to invest in something that every search engine says not to do. That means once you stop paying for traffic, you're left with squat no matter how much money you've spent. I can't see how that wouldn't be obvious to anyone.
