Integrating video and written articles and tutorials

I understand that video is important for user engagement but I also know what written material, be it articles online or e-books is still relevant for google and some people prefer text to video. So I want to produce quality content for my sports related niche that uses both written text and video.

What are the different ways I could integrate video into written articles and tutorials eBooks etc.?

You could make a detailed video, explaining everything and then simply point the most important aspects in the article. Or a even simpler way is to make a video and make an article with the transcript.. whichever works best for you

The idea I had was to write a beginners guide ebook where the subject is broken down into logical steps. I would write a chapter for each step and produce an individual youtube video for each step too going over the same info and then link to the video.

But would it be advisable to link to youtube vids in a PDF ebook? Would people watch the vids on their phone if they are outside practicing the sport?

      Hi,Steve,
I am not the most technical person in the world but I am sure this could be done.
How about if you gave away the ebook to entice people onto your list and then record videos that they can either pay for the entire course or one a membership site basis.
For me personally you want to find a way they could download the videos to watch with them out on the field or whatever.

Obviously there is always a risk of piracy but people can download from you tube anyways so I don't think this increases the risk.

But what it does do is give people the extra value over others that just link to you tube.
And if you branded the videos properly when parents or whatever are watching them on the field, you might find they choose to go home and purchase them so the kids can have them at home as well
