Working Toward my Goal

Hello everyone again,

My second post on here after Begging and Pleading for a mentor..

I decided to take matters into my own hands and have built a website and as a matter of fact it is going live today. I wanted to thank everyone for their input as it helped me get off my... Butt. and get things done.

blackopssurvival.com

I was wondering if someone with some SEO experience could do a quick view of it and see if I have a chance at raking in some views?

Thanks in advance!

Edit. Also I am applying for Google AdSense as well because it seems you can make decent money if you have decent traffic?

Keep adding more content so that your website can grow into a reputable blog. Also, there is a spelling error on the front page: "assessories" which should be "accessories".

Corrected the error. Thank you for your review. I appreciate it.

You need a LOT more content -- original content, not just reposts of other content. Furthermore, your home page needs much more about the site and about you and why the site is important. And if you are not a black ops survival expert, and can't write authoritatively about it, then your site is not going to be successful. Sorry, but I know from 15 years of experience.

Right now, your site is nothing more than a "thin" Amazon affiliate site, and you won't get much if any organic traffic from Google. So, unless you have a powerful social media promotion strategy, you are going to have a tough time.

    ADD CONTENT!

I know it's a new site and everything, but i'm going to be straight forward:

You going to have to work your tail off every day, not with just adding content, but with backlinking, guest posting, expanding to social media, maybe making some YouTube videos to drive traffic, and with optimizing your posts for the search engines.

If I were you, I would start adding about 3 quality posts to the site per day. You will get accepted into AdSense faster, and you'll start to get ranked in the Search engines too.

Also, use YouTube. There is so much traffic on YouTube it's crazy. 1-2 solid YouTube video(s) per week that link back to your site will do wonders.

Above all else, make sure that you follow this simple rule:

    QUALITY > QUANTITY.

Don't lazily regurgitate someone else's content with a few words that are new or revamped. Your trying to be unique.

Congrats on finding a niche and being motivated enough to put up a site. After taking a quick glance, I noticed a major problem: You don't actually review any products! Writing a paragraph about a particular category and writing an actual review of a product, based on your usage and what not, are two different things. You need to write a review of an actual product that people are searching for and that you have actually used.

It's okay to have resources page, where people can pick up extras -- wouldn't think there's a need for you to write a full review on something like socks, but if you want to get ranked using S.E.O., you're gonna need that (full reviews). Your page suggest that there are popular survival kits. Why don't you figure out the most popular one and do a review on that? What's the one that everyone is talking about? If there are like two kits that are popular -- one more expensive and one less expensive, you could include both. Do you get what I'm saying?
