Is there anyone has got success with email marketing?
I had just sent out 1500 emails just 3 days before and only got 20-25 replies. Only 3 guys agreed to purchase my product.

I just wonder, if there are anyone has more results than this, if yes, can you all share the trick? :p

That is neither exceptionally good nor exceptionally bad. As far as sales go, it depends on the price tag. You should expect a higher conversion for a $5 product than for a $500 product.

My advice: Write ten good subject lines and show them to friends and family. Ask them which would they open? Choose the top two and split test. Rinse and repeat.

Have you built a relationship with your list or just pounded them with promotion after promotion?

Its important to provide the subscriber with value from good quality free content that you give them or else they will just see you as another marketer who wants to make money from them.

    Build trust!

The norm for me when I get a subscriber is

    Email List:

    1. Free content

    2. Tell them a little about yourself and try to connect, it does not always have to be you marketing to them, you could tell them about something that happened during your day or a time in your life etc.

    3. More free content

    4. Survey, get inside your subscribers minds and let them tell you what they actually want (this provides great information for creating your own products to sell or give away to your list in the future which you can have outsourced if you cant write reports yourself.)

    5. More free content.

    6. More free content.

    7. Free content with a hint that something is coming up (this is your free report or one that you will sell from the information you have gathered on your survey, or you can promote an affiliate product)

    8. The promotion, not a hard sell just let them know that its available etc don't be pushy and add as much value to the product as you can. ALWAYS OVERDELIVER!

    9. More free content.

And so on, afterwards I usually repeat with only around 2-3 promotions per month.

    Hope this helps,

    Aaron.

I agree with Aaron. If I'm on a list that sends daily emails trying to sell me, I opt out of that list and most of the time don't even open the emails to start with. In my opinion, from personal preferences, I do not send daily emails, but a weekly newsletter. Then send separate emails (occasionally promoting either my products or a product I'm promoting) but always give them free stuff. It's a good thing.
